then some games must take 500 MB to 1 GB of space. M I RITE? Of course I'm waiting for the new 360s to come out, so I don't end up being one of the unlucky ones.

I'm pretty sure that you don't have to save on your HDD for most games. Cause some people don't have HDDs.

If your talking about extra content, like downloadable maps for multiplayer, then yes the hard-drive is necessary.

Every single 360 game tell you what it requires on the game case.

Its NEVER anything over 10 MB.

WTH? Offcourse not. Game saves take up between 0,5 and 10 MB.

Where are you basing this nonsense on?

500 mb to 1 gb of space for a single save file? Uh no, definately not. The only thing you would be downloading that size to your HD would be game demos / map packs. Or maybe a movie you bought.

Do you have any idea how long it would take to save a 500 Meg gamesave? That game would be unplayable.

Most of my games saves are less than a Meg.

Definitely not. Most saves are in the "KB" range, with some as high asthe 1-2 MB range. It takes 1,024 MB to get1GB, and you have 20 of those.

Don't know the answer to that, but i've played over 80 360 titles, and if true, that is definitely the exception and not the rule.

There's a 120GB for sale. Also the XBOX360 ring of death is usually bull****. I just dont know why people are so scared of it.

The whole game does not have to be installed on your Hard drive -- it's just a tiny file with statistical data and coordinates and so on for you to save where you are in a game -- it doesn't save all the texture, sound, etc. data on the hard drive. So yeah, for game saves, the 20 gig hard drive is definitely sufficient. The hard drive is used more for downloadable content such as demos, videos, or add-ons like map packs. It's plenty of space.

They all take up 50 megs except Castlevania, which takes up 150, I believe. By the way, whoever hasn't downloaded that game, what are you doing?

I haven't the Helo 3 beta, but I will guess that the demo was 1 GB, not the game save.

My PGR3 and Viva Pinata game save is 12MB. The rest is between 60 Kb and 2 MB. But most is around 200 Kb.

The reason behind the HDD has no relation to game saves or them being larger this generation. You can still buy a 64meg memory card for the 360 for saves like past consoles and live without a HDD. THe HDD is meant for the map packs, demos, video, arcarde, caching, etc. And of course it's so big you'd never need a memory card ever.
