IMO Lost Odyssey, Last Remnant and Tales Of Vesperia are all Top Notch rpgs.

I'm a massive FF fan, and I've played Lost Odyssey and Last Remnant. Lost Odyssey is well worth a look, although don't expect it to be near the quality of FF. Lat Remnant steer clear of, it's cack. Terible tech problems, pop up and frame rate drops worse than my cheap laptop. Fable 2 is stunning graphicly, but lacks depth and isn't turn based, I'd recommend the first Fable anyway. I got fed up with Mass Effect. Looked great, great ideas, but I got stuck and couldn't be bothered to keep trying, but I would however give it another go once I've finished Fable 2. So go for either Fable 2, Mass Effect or Lost Odyssey. Hope I helped!

This really should be in the recommendation thread... but I have to defend the Last Remnant.

It is not garbage in my opiion. It's actually a really good game. The fighting is cool, forming guilds is fun, and the story is pretty decent. I'm having a lot of fun playing the game. The only downsides are the frequent loading screens and slowdown, but the slowdown is not nearly as bad as the reviewers make it to be. It does not affect gameplay at all from my experience with it. I also have it installed on my HDD, so I'm assuming that helps a little. I wouldn't cast it aside, but to each his own.

I also have Infinite Undiscovery, Tales of Vesperia, and Lost Odyssey, but I have not played the last two yet. Infinite Undiscovery is meh, but not horrible. It's more of an action rpg.

I LOVE Mass Effect, hate Oblivion though (worst in the elderscrolls series imo). But when ever i post MASS EFFECT in an rpg thread, people seem to get pissed off and angry.

Lets talk JRPGs cuz it seems thats what you're into

If you really wanna get serious then cop Final Fantasy XI, haters aside this game is classic. It will provide you with endless hours of addictive fun

I can also reccomend Mass Effect, Elder's Scrolls Oblivion, Fallout 3 however these games play nothing like Japanese turn-based rpgs

Hm well I already have Fable 2 and Oblivion but I'm really in search of a turned-based RPG, and The Lat Remnant, I heard, was a pretty bad game overall because of clipping issues and bad frame rate. Though I've mentioned it because its made from Square Enix, which is one of the developers that make the finest RPGs. Without the problems, same goes for Infinite discovery as that game is developed under SQ also. Tales of Vesperia looks very interesting as well, but I havent really put much thought in getting that game though. I think just a little more research would do but it would be nice to get more ideas and opinions so I can know what game to focus on more.BestGame92
