So i'm watching the halo 3 multiplayer movie...

Why would you waste the money?  RENT Crackdown the day before and enjoy the beta for a week.

PS: I don't know if my resolution of the video wasn't very good, but it looked more like Halo 2.5.  I know it's still in production so it's got some time to re-Wow me... but Gears looked very compreable to its final product at this stage of it's development so I'm afraid...

gears didn't look that great when it was at this stage too... go watch a video on youtube.  bungie isn't going to release a bad product, they'll delay it for the next 2 years before they released something low quality, so i'm not really sure what you're afraid of.  the name of the game is halo 3.... there is not halo 2.5, 1.5, or 1.75 so stop saying that. it makes no sense.  it's the quickest way to show someone you don't know what you're talking about.

I dont think buying crackdown just for Halo 3 beta is a smart move.  Your gonna be spending 50 dollars to play halo 3 for like 3 weeks and the game isnt even done yet.justforlotr2004

If you're watching anything on youtube it's going to be bad.  I don't remember ever seeing Gears look bad at any stage of it's development.  Is it at least far to say that this video doesn't look like the first few videos that released?  I believe the very first one was suppose to be in game... not sure about the second one.

And Halo 2.5 was a reference to the fact that it looked like someone was playing Halo 2 on new maps.  Even the way the players crumple when they died looked the same.  I don't think you not understanding my meaning makes me ignorant.

He's right, it doesnt come with each copy of Crackdown, and also if your buying from ebay it doesnt mean youll get the key for the beta, cause I'm not sure anyone is gonna get Crackdown and sell it on ebay with the Halo 3 Beta key. 

I think there is a way to get on it through Xbox Live but I'm not sure.  What I'm doing about the Beta is just gonna borrow my mates Crackdown for a week and play it as much as I possibly can.

i've seen all the early gears videos, and i remember them not looking so great but that's just my opinion.  i understand what you're trying to say.... that it looks like a slightly modified halo 2 is why you're calling it halo 2.5.  i'm just saying that the game is called halo 3 so calling it halo 2.5 doesn't really make a whole lot of sense.  by calling it halo 2.5 you're saying that the game is halfway between halo 2 and halo 3.  in order to do that you would have to know exactly how halo 3 is going to look in order to use it as a reference point, and since no one knows how halo 3 is going to look (besides just better in general) you can't say that this alpha footage of halo 3 is going to be 50% better than halo 2 and 50% worse than the final halo 3.  of course i'm sure you're smart enough to figure that out...:)
