My main problem with Bioshock was the repetitiveness involved with the gameplay. You basically kill the same type of bad guys, and solve the same type of puzzles for six hours straight.
I beat it last night, and I honestly never see myself wanting to play it again.
Nope not for me Mass effect definetly bioshock number 2 mass effect just had a great story and i liked gameplay better. Then uncharted drakes fortune for ps3 is awesome too im going to go play that right now.

Mass Effect was alright, my problem with that game is the side quest were horrible, and they were all repetative and all the AI issues
It's not mine. It wasn't that fun to play. Guns and plasmids were boring for the most part. The game got really bad towards the end and then had a terrible ending. After beating it once I don't see a reason to play it again.
Bioshock was a great game... but the replayability, to me, is questionable. I just couldn't see playing through it over and over like I have with other ganes. My 360 GOTY? My instincts want me to blurt out Mass Effect, so maybe that. Bioshock, COD4... these had better graphics and less glitches, but I think the GOTY should be something epic, not necessarily just conventionally great.
Overall, I think my GOTY would be Super Mario Galaxy, but for 360, I'll say Mass Effect.
Bioshock isn't my game of the year, to be honest I don't really know what is. Out of all the games I have played this year, none of them really stood out and easily declared GOTY, not even SMG. The thing about Bioshock is that, while a very good game could've gone further with what it was. The atmosphere is terrific, I'm a big big fan of art deco and it'll definately be getting my vote for best atmosphere. For a shooting game though, the gunplay is fairly weak. The bullets that are actually any use, you can only hold a certain ammount of and by the end of the game Big Daddies are very easy to take down. I think the game also makes excuses for itself in the A.I department for just having everyone be crazy so they chase you. I haven't had a chance to play Mass Effect yet so I can't comment on it but it looks good from what I have seen but GTOY, hmmmm.
Bioshock wasn't my GOTY, because it was boring : | Gunplay and plasmids were a major yawn, while the graphics were detailed, the whole game seemed really bland. The story, charaxcters and overall atmosphere was great, but I can't see myself playing it again. My 360 GOTY? It's a 5 way tie between Mass Effect, Assassin's Creed, COD4, Halo 3 and The Orange Box.

Bioshock is one of the best games this year, it totally lived up to my hype, and I loved the story. However Mass Effect and Bioshock are both game of the year for me.
I dont like Bioshock and i don't think it should ever even come close to getting the GOTY after so many other good titles have been released. I dislike it because I just don't like the world war two theme and all that, even my friends dislike it after playing the demo, just like me.
