If you project which game in the long run is going to be first it is always going to be Halo 3. TF2 is a shooter for someone who downs 5 red bulls within an hour and I hae not given the COD4 online a play yet but if it is like COD2 then thanks but no thanks.Haphilli

in my honest opinion, cod4 will last a lot longer than halo 3. tf2 is also a lot of fun but its not everyones cup of tea

That one way of looking at it if you are a Halo freak, but I was talking about in a personal level. Among my friends list no one plays halo anymore and the reason was it got old. But they are all addicted to Cod4 which is good but its sometimes to fast and bs to me.

I was just looking at it from a marketing perspective, but I don't play H3 anymore either only if my friends are playing.Haphilli

yes, you are right, they are going to play halo 3 on the next xbox, and think its pretty sad. COD2 lasted about a year, then Gears came along and everyone was playing that. but i still believe in every way COD4 is a better game but it doesnt get the recognition it deserves, heck even the COD series in general i like better than halo.

Considering CoD4 has roughly 1/4 to 1/8 the amount of players compared to Halo 3 at various points during the day I think CoD4 is going to run out of people who still play long before Halo 3. Plus DLC for Halo 3 will be coming out for years. Even IF CoD4 has DLC it will stop after CoD5 comes out next fall,

Is it really comming out next year? Beause if it is, whats the point of buying, when the sucessor of the game is likely out in a 12-16 month span? I'm planning on purchasing Call Of Duty 4. However I'm not sure if its worth it.

COD4 is definitely a great game, but cmon its halo when COD sells almost 3 mill in a week and have over a million people playing on xbox live at once then you can say its the number one shooter, but for now its halo and will always be untill xbox 3 or xbox 720

It's definitely way behind other shooters. I wasn't seriuosly questioning what you meant, just bashing what I think is an inferior game. I traded mine in a few weeks after purchasing it. I wish I hadn't bought that filth. The soundtrack was nice, at least.

@Relys - I don't have a PS3, and I am allowed to dislike a game. I happen to think Lost Planet is a much better game.

Let me put it into words that you can understand. You said "Less annoying people online = win." I insinuated that you are still online and are annoying, and since you are still online the number of "annoying people" will not decrease. This retort succeeded btw.

COD4 will not last nearly as long as halo, why? because there is a new COD like every other year, to where halo 2 survived 4 or so years. there will be a new COD soon and ppl will just move on to that, so COD4 wont last as long, to where halo 3 will have years before ,if even, a new halo is made.

How did cod4 innovate any more than Halo? It may be modern, the graphics are better than Gears, and it's fast-paced, but the only two changes in it, really, are perks and class customization upgrades.

Halo 3 added gadgets, forge, and the ability to **** with running speed and gravity (and pretty much every other imaginable game editing option.)

I am not defending Halo 3 or saying it is better, just that it improved as much as cod2 did to 4. The problem with Halo 3 for me was that the maps just weren't good the first time around. I won't be buying the map pack, because I don't feel like giving Bungie $10 for 3 maps when I've already got all their achievements for multiplayer.

CoD 4 is awesome. I am obviosly playing it more now... because it came out after Halo 3... so of course I like it more now. With all the amazing games coming out soon, I won't really have time to go back and play all the multiplayer over live again. I have a job and school and stuff.

What I mean by 2nd is that you have other shooter that you rateher play, such as in my case. My first now is TF2, then COD4 ONLINE, and Halo 3. so discussBlitz1130
