So it's dead right?

Ok basically i wanna make it quick and painless so in a nut shell whenever i turn on my 360 i see one of the four lights stay red and on the screen it just says somthing like "console error" and for information go to xbox.com/support bla bla bla.

but i tho3 red lights meant your xbox is screwed?

i think 1 red light means 1 probem, 3 red light = totally shot.

there should be somewhere that lists what each red light means.

i'm totally guessing though as you have no replys yet.

the website is telling me to take out the harddrive, im a little worried about this so, do i just pull it out or is there a little button or somthing?

That happened to me once. I was so worried.

taking out the hard drive sounds worse than it is. on the top of the xbox (assuming you have it standing up) there is a little round button. push that in and pull up on the HDD. itll come right out. just make sure the 360 is off before removing or inserting it.

1 red light means a system failure according to the xbox website but i have gotten this error before andafter unplugging and replugging everything it hasnt happened since. im not making any promises though.

this is a 360 after all :)
