So many Mass Effect posts

Now, I don't mind discussing video games, but there has to come a point where the constant Mass Effect threads either change or stop.

WE GET IT, you don't like the review Gamespot gave it, so quit griping and go play it. That's all everyone's been posting about, OMG mass effect review wrong, blah blah. I even read one thread where someone posted like 8 paragraphs just to say that the reviewer dude was wrong about the vehicle controls.

I suppose I'll be told, WELL IF YA DONT LIEK THE THREADS DoN"T READ 'UM. Uh...sorry, I certainly don't like to, but I'd also like to be able to navigate the 360 forum and read the threads without "MASS EFFECT BETTER THAN 8.5" or "REVIEW WRONG, TURRET CONTROLS WORK" in between everything.

It's kind of frustrating, I just got the RRoD and my new xbox has yet to arrive, but I got Mass Effect in the mail....damn...

But seriously, can't anyone talk about some fun moments in the game or something or other that's different. I dunno, if I'm wrong I'll shut up, but I think that people have the power to judge for themselves and to READ threads that have already been posted about ME.

I could see your arguement if I was making another post about the damned score. I'm just telling those posters to go back and read and post in some of the original topics rather than wasting forum space by making redundant posts.

I also made the post because it's kind of interesting how one score on gamespot causes an uprising. It's as if people think that constantly posting about it will get the score changed.

Yeah I agree, but you know how humans are, they arent going to listen no matter what you say.

It's because the score is wrong and unjustified. Such issues deserve to be fleshed out and not swept under the rug. Mass Effect is an amazing game, and as such a flood of posts will follow. This thread isn't any more useful than a "zomg that review suxors" thread. Good effort, though, I guess.Staryoshi87

Except you realize that they will not change the score for a few reasons:

1. If they cared what anyone thought, they would have changed it already.

2. Changing a game score because people got outraged would make them look even worse than the score itself. It would make them look weak.

I never said one word about them "changing the score." The potential incompetence of a reviewer in their reviewing of a game is a worthy topic of discussion on a board where discussion of such a game is acceptable. This is such a place. As long as all conversation focuses on a respectable comparison of personal experience and discrepancies revealed within the review, it's a fine discussion.

In otherwords: you're not listening, I'm right, and let boys be boys. It's more acceptable to discuss the merit (or lack thereof) of a 360 game review ona 360 forum than it is to create a thread in such a forum about why people suck for making those threads.

Exactly. This happens every time a new high profile games comes out. There are a ton of threads about it (or complaining about all the threads) for a few weeks and then they disappear almost completely. When was the last Bioshock topic you've seen?

I mean how naive can you be? Do you remember Halo 3? All you can see for the first two pages of the forum was how Halo was the greatest game ever created, how Halo was the worst game ever created or how people should stop posting threads about Halo (just like this one). Anytime a high profile game is released, the same events will take place and if you think that going to change just because you just made another "don't post about Mass Effect" thread? You need to pay more attention. Every time I come to the forums, I pretty much see the same thing I.E "What game should get?" "I'm buying a 360 and I have a few questions?" "Which game is better game X or game Y?" Come on now, you should have a little more common sense than that? The human mind is too predictable. Half the times there aren't any good threads anyways. So cheer up, you will eventually find a good thread.

Complaining about too many mass effect threads and you decide to make another one, pure genius.

Well, the only reason I'mposting is to inform you that, if you travel the forums a lot you should of knowbetter than to make this thread. But like I stated the mind is very predictable so........:?

Its the best game of the year and the best game so far on the 360.. so of course people are going to be talking abotu it.kozzy1234
