So i picked up forza 2 a little while ago, and i love it, and now i want Forza 3. I LOVED the demo for Brual Legends, so imgonna get that tooand Im pumped for Dragon Age Origins and its DlC. AND im getting Modern warfare 2 in november And now that Slpinter Cell is moved back to February i wanna get that to. Maybe the CE, i dunno. I was pissed that Alpha protocol got pushed back to june but i guess that gives me more time to play my other games.

I hate bein a poor college student.

Not to only worsen this problem for you but you might also want to consider Borderlands which comes out Oct. 20.

Haha I hear ya.. but on top of being a poor college student I got a part time job on the weekends for the next few months. You may consider doing that, it's worked wonders for me so far, I have enough cash for at least 2 or 3 extra games that I would normally not spend. Right now I'm just gonna get MW2 but there are so many games coming out this fall and winter that I just gotta prioritize on which is more important to get. I hate when that happens.. all the good games come out at the same time and then we get a dry spell during the summer when I actually have time to play games.

Oh..and don't forget AC 2..I guess it's a good thing that it takes me 3-6 months to play & finish a game..blame it on being a working professional with a 2.5 year old..:) So the timing works out great for me..

i understand how you feel. i have a family so every game i buy either has to be very well thought through to get everything out of my dollar or very cheap. that's why i hate that they have DLC for games when you preorder them or buy them on day one because i rarely can do that. i kind of feel ripped off sometimes just because it's like they made the content but didn't add it to the game. i thought about getting a second job but then i would hardly see my family and games just aren't that important to me to do that.

Yeah I hate pre-order exclusives. Most of all because the content is already IN the game, you just can't unlock it unless you pre order for the code. And what makes matters worse? You don't pay any more for it than someone who buys the game a week later. I hate that.. I also rarely buy games on day 1 or even pre order for that matter (have never pre ordered before). I can't stand being sold a game with less content in it simply because I didn't pre order. Some of us need to think our purchases through.. some of us need to wait to see the reviews of a game before spending hard earned cash on it.

Yeah I don't pre-order games and will usually buy them on impulse when I think I'll have the time to play them..so all of these extra content for people who pre-order is annoying..thankfully (until now at least) the extras has been things that I could easily live without..but what's to stop them from actually restricting certain parts of the game or adding extra layers to those who pre-order? A very slippery slope if you ask me..

Sometimes people dont know the difference between poor and broke... Broke is you have no money... Poor is you have no money and no income. Im in the latter. I wanted a few titles this holiday season my list being Ballad of Gay Tony, Modern Warfare2, and Uncharted2. But it looks like I'll be selling most of my game collection to acquire just MW2. (it'll totally be worth it) Screw the economy I'm turning to crime to fund my game addiction... Seriously.

I know what you mean about being a college student. Not enough cash, but that doesn't mean you can't play all the good games, just get Gamefly like me. I get basically any game I want within a few days of release as long as I time my returns correct (e.g., I want Brutal Legend, so Halo ODST goes in the mail tomorrow).

PM me and I'll send you a link if you are interested, it'll let me get a referal fee if you sign up. Its a good deal, basically less than $250 bucks a year (4 game purchases) and I play all the games I want!

EDIT: Oh yeah, another thing. When I was in college I made decent spending cash for things like games by doing psychological experiments. Nothing crazy, normally answering some questions, or watching a video, maybe while being scanned by an MRI. Either way, I'd get $20 or more per test and that was damn good money in college. Should check out your psych department at school and see if they pay out for that stuff.

I have very little money, too. I have both Borderlands and Modern Warfare 2(HE) pre-ordered. but the thing is, I won't be getting any money for awhile. so I'm gonna have to take off the money for Borderlands in order to pay off Modern Warfare 2. I'll have to wait til christmas to get Borderlands :(

Yay for being a poor college student. The money I have in my bank account now, unfortunately, will all be going towards bills. :-( Why do the good games start flowing when my money flow stops?

I've got enough money to buy the games I want, but I don't have enough time to play them all. I've got loads of games that I've never played. I've had Batman since release day but haven't played it yet. These days I think I see myself as more of a collector. One day, when I need money, I'll just sell a big chunk of it.

Buying a game on Day one for me means it better have some kind of multiplayer that you need to level up in. I hate falling behind in lvls in games like WaW and CoD4. Having some guy blast you with the best rifle in the game while your stuck with the thompson is annoying.

I've always wanted to try gamefly. Does it work well? Is it worth it? Seems like a good way to rent and play all games without actually having to buy anything. If you are a high volume player that likes to try everything I would think that would be the way to go. When I was near a good Hollywood Video i grabbed an unlimited account for like 40 a month. Unlimited out 3 at a time up to 2 games. I only bought like one or two titles for that 5 month period.

I know it is not the best way to get rid of your games but I am very lazy and don't want to eBay them so I just trade them into Gamestop 3 at a time. If you have one of those cards, trade in 3, and get a game with your money you get more value for your games.

Too many games coming out that are worth having. I will get Borderlands and CoDMW2, I already got OpFlash, Batman, Red Faction, ODST, and I still haven't beaten the games I own.

Try gamefly out for a bit and you'll realize how awesome it is. Two out at a time for 24 bucks a month (with tax) is a pretty sweet deal. You also find that most games aren't really worth owning. Some games are worth holding onto for a while, and a few rare games are definitely worth buying (I'm buying Dragon Age!). But in the end you can always send a game back when you are bored of it and then just re-rent it anytime when you want to play it again. Once a game has been out for 2-3 months its not really hard to get delivered to you, and if you time it right you can get most new releases immediately, like I'm going to do with Brutal Legend and Borderlands.

Nice thing about Gamefly is that, if you do decide to keep a game, you often have a $5 off coupon laying around that you get every 3 months, and you can even earn 5% or 10% off discounts if you are a member for a while (6 months and a year). So lets say I want to keep Borderlands after they send it to me. The normall price is $48.99 from gamefly, then I take 5% off, then an additional $5 off. So I could get Borderlands for about $41 bucks, with the box and manual intact. Not a bad deal really. Much better than spending $60 bucks on every game and then selling them back for $10 to 20 bucks each.

Anyways, if you want to try Gamefly send me a PM and I'll send you a link. I can get a referral bonus if you sign up :)

I feel your pain, a lot that I want too. Modern Warfare 2, Borderlands, Assains Creed 2, Dragon Age, Need For Speed, Uncharted. Luckily Toys R Us are having their buy 2 get 1 free deal soon, so I'll take advantage of that and my brithday so I'll get one then.
