So my 360 is busted...

Simply, I can play XBLA games fine, but as soon as I load up a demo or play a game on disc, it freezes up and throws up the RLoD on the ring of light. :(

So would Best buy have any 360 Elites in stock by now? I (luckily) bought the replacement plan for my 360 when I first got it, so at most I'm only guessing I'd be paying the difference to upgrade to the Elite. It's like... no one feature about the Elite I would really pay extra for, but to be able to upgrade to it for (relatively) cheaply, I figure I may as well as soon as I get a chance to head over there and return my broken one.

Also, would best buy want me to trade in everything that came with it (I'm assuming), or keep the hard drive or something? Just asking out of curiosity there.

Because I don't know when exactly I'll be able to get there.

As a (hopefully) final update...

Went today to go get it replaced... they almost weren't going to accept it because I forgot the Madden 07 disc that came with it when I bought it the first time. :o :(

Thankfully though, they then decided to test it out at the Geek Squad to see... and the cause of its failure? The hard drive failed. for whatever reason, the 360 would play whatever fine without the hard drive on, but crashed upon booting with it attached. :?

Well, thankfully, this at least prompted them to allow the replacement. And thankfully, I didn't have to "re-buy" the replacement plan I bought for it. :D probably because it was still under MS warranty.

No elites though :( but whatever.
