Well i can't say i was following DA for a long time, only about 3 months and i had high hopes for the game but seeing how the reviews go, at least here on GS, will you still buy it? I actually might, I was going to get LFD2 until i played the demo and since i did i wont be getting the game. However, I also might not until more reviews come out. So far, IGN and Game Informer has give both version on the PS3 and 360 the exactly same score so maybe it was just over exaggerated on GS review.

What are you guys going to do, and if you did buy the game is it as bad as GS says?

EDIT: Well its good to note that not all reviewers say that the 360 version is the worst, in fact IGN says the exact oppisit. No matter what though since i don't have the PC i wont be able to get the BEST experiance. Moreover, now that i did preorder the game i'll have to pay for the DLC. IDK, i wish i had every thing lol.

I'm trying to make up my mind; it seems certain that the PC version is the best but my computer can't run it and I'm not going to upgrade. After that it's tough to say. I think I'm going to wait to see what some people here and elsewhere say, then I'll decide between the 360 and PS3 version

The PS3 version has better textures, but framerate problems. The 360 version has smoother frames, but the textures had to be compressed to get a 20gb game to fit on a DVD-9. In the end it doesnt matter really. But something to consider is once youve seen the graphics, you get used to them and just play the game. Frame problems wont get fixed unless there is a heavy patch on PSN.

All in all, PC version is far superior. If you have to get a console version, either will be fine.

Why not, it's better to play an 8.5-rated game (that's basically as good as the 9.0-9.5 versions other than a slight graphical downgrade) rather than not play it at all.

Who the **** cares about graphics? If people decide to not get a game due to graphics that's their loss.

I already the 360 CE preoered and it arrived today. I really could care less about the graphical flaws. I'm enjoying the game so far so I don't regret getting it for 360 instead of PS3.

one of the things that bug me the most is the fact that IGN says it feels more like a action game on both the PS3 and 360 compared to the PC. Ao the actually gamesplay suffers from PC to consoles, but i wont be getting a gaming PC for a very long time so thatsirrelvant.IDK i'll probably still get it in a week, if people on the forums says its still really good

This is slightly off topic, but, does Gamestop not carry the CE of the 360 version ? I have asked two different employees before launch on two different occasions at my local store and was told they did not know about a CE version for 360. The odd thing was however, that when I went to pick up my 360 pre-order, I saw one of the guys behind the counter put a couple of the PS3 CE versions of the game on the shelf behind him. I meant to ask him about it, but just didnt, now however I wish that I had. If there is, and I am assuming there is, I wonder if they would allow me to return the game for the CE edition that I am almost 100% sure exists (Probably a dumb question). What gives ?

Yes there is a CE for 360. I have it. Got it from the EA store. I saw on the GameStop website a while ago that they there were selling it too, but they stopped taking preorders for like a month before it came out. You probably won't be able to get it from GameStop unless you get lucky and you can find a store with an extra copy. Amazon has them back in stock though so you could order it off there, and I believe the EA store still has them in stock also.

Uhhh, yeah. People are making it out like the 360 version of the game got a 3.0. It's 1 (ONE) step lower than AAA. An 8.5 is a good score and I'm not a stickler when it comes to graphics. Bioware knows how to make a good game with a good story. This game is definitely a purchase, regardless of which version is better.

I"m a diehard RPG fan. And i do not own a PS3 and my computer will not meet the requirements for the PC version. I also prefer to play games with a controller as well. All in all, i'll be getting this game no matter what. It looks to be a great game, and a game without FANTASTIC graphics, yet an amazing story and some amazing characters, isn't always a bad thing. Conclusion, yes i'll still be buying the " inferior " version.

I don't own a PS3 and I prefer to play with a controller in front of a big screen TV. I don't even know if my PC meets the requirements for the game, nor do I care. I would never buy DA for the graphics because let's face it. It's not a very pretty game. At least not judging from any video or screenshot I have seen. Reviews seem to confirm this. I DO hate the fact that there is no top down view on the consoles. I'm going to miss that. Why Bioware? Why?

Doubtful at this point. I have a nice PC but I really only like to play games in my recliner on a big screen. If someone says they don't care at all about graphics then they are in denial, pure and simple. If I wanted to look at well dated graphics I would throw in a good PS1, N64, or earlier game. If the game was too big to update the graphic issues then they should have put it on 2 discs. If they didn't want to redo the graphics, fine, then discount the price to $40. I do not pay full retail price for a current generation game that is not up to current generation standards in every way, no matter how great the game play is.

I sure will, I have it right now. On the PC. Much better from the looks of it viewpoints, graphics, running, mods, etc. If you only have a PS3 or a 360 I'm sure the game is still great though. It did get an 8.5 after all, and a patch might improve some of the performance issues if they release one.

If I had not done the preorder I would have got it on the PC because I used to be a big PC gamer.

Having said that, I think its fine on the 360.Still fun. The graphics don't bother me.

It's pretty disappointing that we're getting the shaft here, but I don't really care that much (haha, I guess I care a little). I obviously prefer better graphics, but I really miss the character interaction you get with Bioware games. Seems like a great gaming experience regardless of the platform, and I imagine I'll be picking it up today after work.

I already bought it on the 360, the graphics aren't good but the game is so far. I'm not real crazy about the combat either but the story and character are great.

About the whole "inferior version" thing, I think GS was way too harsh on the 360 version to give it an 8.5 and the PS3 version a 9.0. After all, in the video review, the reviewer says that the PS3 version "looks noticeably better" but that it also has a few more graphical hiccups. To me, those two should balance each other out, but it certainly shouldn't be enough for a 0.5 score difference. Anyway, I don't think the score differences should cause anyone to second guess their purchase of this game because I feel that the score differences shouldn't even exist.

i was iffy on it, i may pick it up later but to say the least, i was never a huge fan and for me to buy it would be a small chance. HOWEVER, in response to your feelings, i never trust gs reviews anyhow. theyre usually way off my feelings. i much prefer ign and gametrailers.

yeah, and the only thing IGN notes was the fact that the PS3 had problems with framerate and glitchs and they scored the same there, i guess now teh one thing that bothers me about picking up the game at full price is the fact that now i have to pay the DLC lol

PC versions of games are 90% of the time a whole lot better than the console versions. It usually always ends up that way.

I'm currently running through Tales of Vesperia right now so I can't really handle another 60 hour RPG. However, considering that my 360 is the only machine that can properly run Dragon Age, if I do pick it up, it will be for the Xbox 360. However, I think I'll wait until Mass Effect 2 and then get Dragon Age after that game... or if I get lucky someone will figure, "OH HAI!!! DRAGONS AND NEON MAKE A GREAT PAIR THIS CHRISTMAS!!!!!!!!!!!"

Reviews and scores are just someone's opinions, not fact, so I don't know that we have the inferior version. Regardless I bought this game and though I've only been able to play it for a few hours so far I absolutely love it and it seems like it is going to be exactly what I expected from the good folks over at Bioware. You don't buy a Bioware game for it to have the best graphics or most stellar gameplay, you buy it because you want to be immersed in a fully realized world. No developer does a better job of creating a believable, living and breathing world.

I've played through the origin story so far, and I am absolutely LOVING this game. Although, the reviewers weren't lying, this is a fairly ugly game on the 360. Really wish I could've played on a PC, but, meh,the gameis still ridiculous fun on the 360.

I Bought the 360 version. i have a highend PC and a ps3 but most of my friends play on the 360 so being able to chat and stuff is nice.

Plus i'm ashamed to admit it but i like 360's achievements i guess they kinda matter to me / ps3's trophy system is kinda lame and a 2nd class after thought to me.

I pretty much play only ps3 exclusives and blue ray on the ps3 - everything else goes to the 360.

Not sure how you see as getting the shaft? The 360 version has slightly worse graphics than PS3, however lacks the PS3's poorer frame rate & glitches. Surely your not talking about the PC version being better, as you would have known that before released any how.

We'regetting the shaft because the consoles versions are a slightly lesser experience than the PC version.

I ran up a ramp to kill an enemy but after the fight I fell through the floor. I was stuck between some trees but it saved before that so I just didn't go back up there and let my teammates do it. I haven't noticed any other glitches besides waiting around ten seconds for the boss to get recognized as dead. It just sits there dead but it doesn't proceed to the cutscene right away. I have found a few rare items I believe they are colored under it but those might just be certain items you get from marked chests or enemies. I have an SDTV so reading what's under the item is slightly hard.
