My XBOX has always ran fine but as of lately I poped in the Oblivoin Special Edition "The Making Of..." DVD and it froze. After I rebuted my system everything was a little slower. I mean everything. Not by a lot but even the XBOX display menus had some lag. After poping in the game for about 10 it froze over and over again. Nowthe system only boots up after it rest for a while and if it freezes after that the three red lights of doom apear. Is there anything I can do or do I have to buy another XBOX?

Phone MS Customer Care and explain the situation to them, they'll either tell you what to do or they tell you to post it to them; is it still under warranty?

It's been over a year so I don't think so. Maybe I should just get an elite. My harddrive should transfer over right?

The 3 year warranty doesn't just cover the RRoD it covers the console as a whole according to MS Cstmr Cr when I phoned, but anyway to the OP if you have the cash spare then yeah go buy a new console, but if not it's worth phoning MS and finding out.
