so people on XBL

i always heard that everyone on XBL were just a bunch of ****'s and never really wanted to believe it, but the majority actually are from what ive seen in like the past 2 days of playing. people were all saying how i suck majorly, and i actually agree with them. i mean im not complaining but still, i mean some guy was all saying how he was like the best player in gears of war and he kept dying, i mean im not that great, but ive only had gears for like 2 days, but at least i can manage to get maybe 1 kill per round. yayyfood

Yeah that's why I only play with people I know personally. If I do play public games I usually mute the mic and speakersnitroracer82

yea thats what i want to do, but i actually dont know many people with XBL, no one seems to want to pay the 50$ a year. i usually just mute the mic but like to listen to people either laugh at my gamertag or say how much i suck

You can select an option by your original post to correct typos. But anyway yes lots of people that are good become *****s. Luckily some really good players aren't that bad like stated findfriends on there and play games with them to avoid the "veterans".

Tell me about it... it is infuriating. However, when you do find the right people, it makes a world of difference. Especially on games like World Of Warcraft in the roleplaying realms.

some people are just disrespectful to others but what you want to do is KILL THEM

here's an experience i had last week. i jump into Gears after quite awhile of not playing online. First round - within one minute a teammate gets downed and I'm nearby. I run over and tap "Y" to revive him. It had been so long since I played that I forgot that to revive, you press "X". Anyway, he gets blasted by an opponent's shotgun, I die too, and entire team is taken out. IMMEDIATELY in the lobby I get flamed. "WHY DIDN'T YOU REVIVE ME YOU F*CKING C_NT? YOU SUCK!!". The other teammates follow his lead, "HEY (forgot his name), WHY DIDN'T HE REVIVE YOU?", "YOU F*CKING SUCK" etc., etc., etc.

I was so pissed that I yelled something back, only to realize my mute button was on LOL. But the experience reminded me that there are some real jerks out there. For every cool person on live, there's a person that isn't cool. Just comes with the territory.

Anyway, I switched lobbies and ended up enjoying some good games that night.

For whatever reason, being anonymous (I was trying to figure out how to spell anonymity for about 5 minutes) triggers a relapse in behavior in males to right around 4 years old. It's fairly baffling behavior that I'm surprised there isn't a South Park episode about.

Yeah there are a lot of ****s on xbox live and the reason why is just because its a large online gaming community. I also encountered the same type of people on the Playstation Network, but mainly for the same reasons I encounter them on Xbox Live its just one of those larger communities. When you have a large community like that the players are more competitive and aggresive, mainly because of online leaderboards, achievements, clans, etc.. Pretty much the only way to prevent meeting those people are to add all the cool people you find to your friends list and just play with them. Also you probably won't find those types of people on the Wii Online Community because they dont have a strong central community, if a Wii game has an online feature then their online community is most likely based by the game and not the console, so the communtiy is much smaller. But hey, welcome to the Xbox Live Community.
