so pissed about hdmi

so i bought a new 1080p 42 inch cause i thogut it would do 1080p over component

but of course i go to change the 360 resolutiona and no dice

just wanted to vent a little

anyone know if 1080i on a 1080p is better than 1080i on a 720p tv

should i just return it and get the 720p its 300 less

You would be doing better with 720p...after all this is what the Xbox 360 puts out natively anyway. fore_runner

That's not true.. Some games are 1080P native: Ex: Lost Planet. There are other ones too, I just don't know off hand. The 360 will upscale any game to 1080P over VGA or HDMI. If you HDTV supports 1080P.
