its got great games out
its got great games coming out in the future
as it seems now, it plays as well if not better than a ps3 in certain cases
It's online service is probbably one of the greatest online gaming services
it will be linking vista, cell phones, and 360s all together
if you ask me, thats pretty reliable for now and the future of the 360
reliable mean hardware wisei would say no...

If you ask me, none of the things you mentioned have anything to do with being reliable.
I like the 360, but I also believe it is the most unreliable console right now. Check the other topic where there is a poll about people's 360's breaking: yesterday at one point only 57% said their's had no problems so far.
The PS3s defective rate was 10% when it first came out, but they have probably fixed that problem... Firebrand02Link?

well he shoulda said hardware wise...unreliable doesn't just mean hardware guys, it also can mean where you will be putting alot of your time and money towards. and giving it a bright future can give it a reliable system to buy knowing it can only get better.[QUOTE="SuperIntendent"]i would say no...

Yes, but people with their 360 working well are not going to hand around forums saying "my xbox is fine", they are playing it. Which is not the case of people with broken 360s...MS isnt known for producing well made...anything, so its no surprise, what is suprising is people keep on sending them back to be fixed time and time and time and time again. Just insanity.teebeenz

ah leaving negative comments about M$ on a 360 board is ok as long as you use bigger words than the people who leave negative about you.
ah leaving negative comments about M$ on a 360 board is ok as long as you use bigger words than the people who leave negative about you.Arsenal140You can leave negative MS comments anywhere, theyve got plenty of thumbs in pies. But in a thread about the issues MS products have in reliability, such as the 360 in this case, is more than warrented, not to mention needed. To many are blind to MS's plans.
WHO CARES!! mine has worked fine, since i bought it 3 months after the launch. people make a huge ordeal out of it and its honestly just old now.DesmondPills
You'd be surprised how noone cares about how yours works. This is a major issue for many people. They don't want to buy a system and have it crap out on them in a few months.
I would know, this is one of the reasons why i haven't bought a 360, and i'm not about to buy a warranty for it either.
[QUOTE="Ricky-cubano"]Can explain why and how the others aren't?khaled7Well I am not seeing many PS3 or Wii owners complaining about their console as the 360 owners correct me if I am wrong No Fanboys!
I've played the ps3 and wii, all i have to say is that well THEY FREAKING SUCK!!!!!!!!!!!
I love my 360 and if it broke, I wouldm't complain, I would just send it in to microsoft and tell them to fix it.

'Microsoft isnt known for producing well made....anything' a direct swipe at the 360....i notice you were defending the PS3 earlier aswell......a troll perhaps

Ok so ill admit take the topic invokes trolls...that doesn't make it any better or any more just
If they were that unreliable, people wouldn't still be buying these things...
My standpoint anyways...
Out of interest, I'd really like to find out what makes the consoles go dead. I heard that it's made to freeze and become unplayable if it goes above a certain heat threshhold so it can't permanently damage itself. While it sounds reasonable actually, I'm pretty sure it's not the main case. 360s shouldn't be assembled in Mexico.mouthforbathorySeems to be a combo of a drive which doesnt hold onto the disks correctly, a low quality solder used for the wrong things and a lack of protection for power variations.
Are you talking about the console itself? If you are then yah I think the 360 is pretty unreliable in terms of hardware (Mine broke 2 months ago:cry:

The lack of a locking mechanism in the DVD drive is old news (it's what causes the scratch rings), but I was talking about the freezes. Yeah the DVD drive problem is the reason why no one should ever run their 360 while vertically oriented.
yes absolutely. the 360 is by far the most unreliable console of this generation. i don't see any ps3 or wii "post here if you got the red lights of death" threads with post counts buldging at the seems.
my 360 gave me disk read errors on the second day of me playing the new system with a new copy of gears in it... pretty unreliable if you ask me. it freezes when i play r6 and oblivion and i've gotten 3 disk read errors playing dead rising in the past 3 days.
i don't care whether you're console is working well or not... the manufactering quality and the design quality is not as good as that of the ps3 and wii. the games are better though... but thats a different story.
So that means like 95% of the consoles sent out are reliable. I'm not a math major or anything but that seems pretty reliable to me. Hell if I could hit a baseball .950 of the time I wouldn't be sitting here typing this post...I'd be rolling in money and using x360s as shoesYourLastDay86Well, the issue with the consoles lack of protection from dirty power is in all units, so if you have dirty power you will run into issues.
It def is. How can anyone say its not??? Theres a whole forum on broken 360s and theres more than a few posts in there too. Go to amazon even and see how many reviewers say theirs have broke...I know its all ps3 fanboys...RIGHT
360 has the games, but it needs to fix its hardware. Its a joke that the Elite didnt have a smaller chip. Now we can pay 479 for red lights with a black background.
