So, to be honest between school consuming most of my time (almost finishing my law degree) and losing my job due to the place I worked in closing down I havent turned my 360 on for a while, with no money to pay for live (gonna get that for my bday soon) and to buy new games the 360 has been sadly collecting a little dust.

So I tought hey, why not ask GS 360 users what games are no brainers for getting back on line, but I was immediately hit by a wall, someone was gonna say go to the sticky and ask...

So I tought of something even better, xbox live means many different things for so many different gamers, so the question is, which games or services define your day to day live gaming?

Why does those games and/or services define your gaming experience as is?

I will begin with mine:

  • GOW: Mainly this saga is why I even bought a 360 anyway, I remember hearing that they had chainsaw machine guns and that you could stomp on your enemies. This game is an integral part of my experience because every saturday evening my friends and I would do a LAN PARTY just for it, now that we scattered across the globe this game brings us togheter trough live for a match every now and then.

  • HALO Saga: Multiplayer at its best, need I say more?

  • COD: Even tough this saga is considered to be overrated I do enjoy a match or 2 every now and then.

  • Netflix and Zune: HD movies on my 360? Yup, I do enjoy movies and the hability to stream them with out leaving my couch is awesome, hopefully the experience improves once I get kinnect (I havent yet)

So tell me boys and girls, gamers, ladies and gents: What defines your xbox live experience?

I'm not much of a multiplayer gamer anyway, and certainly won't pay for something that should be free in the first place for something that I won't use on a regular base. That pretty much answers it for me personally. :)

The Halo saga would have to be it. It is what started me on Xbox live and I have had the most fun with friends throughout that franchise

Some of the most fun I have had on Xbox Live is getting a few people into a party chat and "boosting" for achievements, oddly enough. Like last night for example, a few of us decided to finish up the Resident Evil 5 versus achievments. It was just hilarious. Stuff being said, people unintentionally doing stupid things, etc.

Left 4 Dead 2 defines my online experience, as that is the only game i play online.

I would have to say the things that define my xbox live experience are:

  1. My FIOS connection. Since I got this several years ago it completely opened doors for me since having other wireless units drawing from my router no longer messes up my XBOX online connection.
  2. COD MW2 and GOW2 online playing with my friends have made live even more fun.
  3. Netflix! Where would I be without my streaming movies!

To be honest, I mainly just use it for party chat and play Call of Duty. I think I'm the only person that absolutely HATES Halo online.

If I didn't have a PS3, Netflix would define my Live experience. For gaming, it's Super Street Fighter 4 right now. I only play one or two games at a time and I'd say that since like early 2009 the only titles I've played online on a regular basis were SSF4, Marvel vs Capcom 2, Resident Evil 5 Mercs mode and Naruto: The Broken Bond (which is completely dead now). Fighters are pretty much the only online capable games that I end up buying. If you don't want to pay for Live, you can always make a new profile and get a free month. When I was unemployed I did this for about 3 months and was satisfied with it.
