So what did you guys think of the Crackdown demo?

I haven't played it yet but i really enjoyed Crackdown 1. I hope Crackdown 2 lives up to Crackdown 1 or becomes even better.

Compared to Crackdown, I am disappoint. I'll still get it though. It wasn't bad, its just not the same, and I don't like the new agents. I prefered the changing styles of the original agents, I believe all the new ones look the same at full level.

I thought it was quite terrible. Lock on run and gun with horrible controls. The car driving is the worst. Seems like they haven't updated it much from the original.

agreed very disappointing and outadted game. its almost a carbon copy of the first. they did not even improve the visuals not one bit. actually i remeber crackdown 1 to look betgter than this

Honestly, Crackdown 1 looks and plays better. At least in the first game the developer went for the exaggerated comic book, cel-shaded look and it was fresh at the time. With this new iteration it seems like Ruffian wanted to make things a bit more "gritty" while trying to keep it cartoony, which makes it look weird IMO. The Crackdown charm was really lost in the sequel. GameTrailers has a comparison on their site that shows the differneces between the two. The vehicles look a lot better in Crackdown 1, as do the character models and textures.

Also, did anyone else notice that when you run civilians over they explode :o I love all the blood.

graphics are horrible, auto targeting is broken and cheap, it locks on to barrels a mile away before it locks on to the guy next to you! feels like a game i would play on orig xbox. maybe will not buy or rent.
