enchanted arms any good?
well im hearing alot of hype about lost odyssey (never bothered to look into it though) so ill have my fingers crossed for it...
Enchanted Arms story is nothing exactly special, but it's good enough, i liked it.
Blue Dragon isnt bad, if you like old-style JRPGs, but the story is nothing special.
Eternal Sonata is a masterpiece in every categorie.
Lost Odyssey is almost here, so keep an eye on that.
I thought Enchanted Arms was great. Story was good enough, graphics and feel were a bit on the weak side but the gameplay was brilliant. I'd definitely get it.
I've played about 15 hours of Blue Dragon and I don't particularly find myself having that much fun because there doesn't really seem to be any strategy to it. The skill/clas* upgading is also confusing atm and I'm not particularly interested in the story. Oh well, I got it cheap.
Eternal Sonata seemed nice from the demo but I wasn't so keen on the fixed camera. The next wave of JRPG's look to be more in the vein of FF such as Lost Odyssey, Infinite Undiscovery, Last Remnant...
I've been craving JRPGs for a long time since the Final Fantasy days. The game looks very promising, packed with 4 discs. I'm guessing it's over 200+hours minimum. I've been looking for a vibrant, happy, looking game, that is more adult-themed/mature. Final Fantasy always delivered that. I've reserved my copy of LO. Good luck.

learn what a JRPG is, then take two worlds out of that.
Anyways, I've played Enchanged Arms, Blue Dragon, and Eternal Sonata, and ES is the best. Lost Odyssey looks to be shaping up well also.
Reading comprehension ftw!

i believe he was trying to say "two words: Lost Odyssey"

GOsh 200 hours of RPG would be an incredible amount of time by any standard......I guess that 4 discs are necessary for the graphics....but if You are correct, and the graphic is consistent for all the game with the preview, this game is HUGE.
As a choice, right now, nothing is at the level with the final fantasy saga. The difference between Eternal Sonata and the "soon out" lost odissey are many. In fact they seem compltely different. So, if You want to buy eternal sonata straight away or lost odissey in feb, is really up to what You like...... try to whatch the previews.
After playing a bit eternal sonata I can assure You that it is a really solid game. So, if You like the style, don't worry. It's well spent money.

Sweet thanks. I'll definitely look into it.

Last Remnant is not exactly a JRPG. Its more of a strategy game, or something like Dynasty Warriors with a JRPG plotline.
Mmhmm. Thanks for the back up. ;) Gee, I was waiting for someone to figure it out. Elann2008
Lol! and I was about to comment on your "Two Worlds" post, thanks to them indeed.
Going back to the TC, I have every JRPG for the 360 (correct me if I'm wrong though) and let me tell you a bit of something for each game. Of course, if you're a JRPG fan, you would care less about how strange or how shallow/deep the story gets so I'll just skip those parts since all of these share it's strangeness in point or another. :D
IMHO, here's what I think of each game.
Enchanted Arms:
Blue Dragon:
Pittongkid: Didn't U find blue dragon a bit lame??? I tried to play the demo but really couldn't find much good in it. Maybe the graphic was quite crisp but the game play....did You finish it???
Btw, nice avatr:)

thanks :) and to answer your question, yep I did finish BD. Though the story was indeed a bit lame, but that goes with the the other 2 as well. And inspite of it being that way, I still find BD a worthy part of my collection..way better than EA.
I'm hoping that lost Odyssey will change these odds though, and I really hope this wouldn't be another let-down by Mistwalker...sure they can develop top-notch graphics...but it should be more than just that. I wish they would make a game as great as Lost Odyssey's graphics then combine with Eternal Sonata's battle system, plus add a serious and deep story, now that would be great.

I second that.
