I have the older 360 with the bigger cpus and the loud drive, and since theres a new warrenty, will I be able to send mine in for a new one, (even if theres nothing wrong, or can I lie about it)
well think about it for a minute, and use some common sense. ill go out on a venture and say no they will not take your old hot xbox 360 and replace it for a new one. there are 11 million xbox's sold, no way they even think about that. but if your xbox breaks with the 3 red lights you send it in and they might give you a new one or fix up the one you sent in to have the new stuff in it.
No chance. If it's working perfectly they won't replace it just because a better version has come out. That's not how warranties work.Imagine how many people would send their old iPods in when a new one comes out, or try to trade in their old car when a new model is released.
And I wouldn't try lying about it either - they know exactly what causes the three red lights of death, and I guarantee that they will try to repair your console before sending a new one. They only send new ones if the old one is beyond repair. If you send a perfectly good system to them they will send it right back and will probably bill you for the shipping and their wasted time.
when they release the new coller 360's wait and see peoples opinions on them, then if its worth it, wrap your 360 up in a towell and leave it on for 3 days. That should do the trick
