is fable 2 more for the casual gamers or the hardcore gamers?

For an RPG I would lean towards casual. KC_Hokie
im guessing that was sarcasm but if you havent seen peters interviews and things like that he says that they made the game more casual and also you could only use one button to attack
I played Fable and have seen the interview you speak of and still consider Fable 2 more for casual gamers than an RPG like Oblivion, Lost Odyssey, Mass Effect, Two Worlds or Fallout 3.
The casual gamer would be able to pick up Fable 2 far quicker than the others mentioned.
[QUOTE="Jazz_Fan"]For both.KC_HokieBoth wasn't an option since you could say both for 90% of xbox 360 games. but that doesn't mean there isn't something about this game for both casual gamers and hardcore gamers to both fall in love with

That wasn't the original question and 2. You could, again, say that for over 90% of games these days

When the game clearly has things for both the casual and hardcore gamer. Just because you can say that about most games doesn't make it any less valid.

Absolutely, and who are you to dictate to others how to respond to the question? It doesn't say how to answer so neither should you. Peter Molineaux has made it abundantly clear that it was designed to appeal to everybody, so logic dictates the answer would have to be BOTH.
Its definatly not for me, i hated fable 1. One of the worst rpgs ive played in 20+ years.
Ill rent Fable 2 to give it a chance as i do all games, but its definatly not a MUST BUY for me.
As for who is the game for? Its for anyone really, casuals, hardcore gamers, what ever. Give it a try and see if its your cup of tea or not. Its definatly a more ARCADEY RPG then others, but doesnt mean people wont still enjoy it.
[QUOTE="LessThanMike"]...but isn't that the point of videogames anyways?KC_HokieMost but not all. A game like Oblivion, for example, would drive the casual gamer crazy and they would go back to Halo 3 quickly.
Oblivion was made casual friendly actually compared to the older games in the ELDERSCROLLS series (Morrowind, Daggerfall, etc..)
For an RPG I would lean towards casual. KC_Hokie
lol since when have RPGs been known as casual games? they are perhaps the most in depth and really for hardcore games, FPS, now thats casual

Bad example, Oblivion is actually pretty casual, especially in comparison to Morrowind. I have a few friends who enjoy Oblivion, and they are casual gamers. Also, saying both is a completely valid answer, expecially since lionhead go on about how theyve tried to make this game appeal to both audiences.
umm aint hardcore game rjust some one plays always vs casual play little mor w/e how in the world would u pick a game like that?
like rpgs? there done
