Well i never bought the first one because i thought the graphics sucked and i didn't have online at the time. So i thought i never gave it a fair shot and when the LFD2 demo came out i thought i give it a fair swing. I DL the demo as soon as i could but it was extremely laggy so i thought no thanks. But yet again came back hoping the game would have a better performance and so it did. I ended up playing the demo for a long time last night. Its hard to look past the dated graphics but the game does get pretty fun. Its just a hard sale since MW2 at its door step. Are you hardcore LFD fans going to get this day one? I have heard a lot of people say this is too much like the first one to be considered a squeal.

I loved the first one. After playing the demo for L4D2 i just felt like there wasnt enough new additions to the game to make it worth a $60 price tag. I would wait for it to drop in price.

I would have to say there are enough new additions for it tto warrant a sequal.

I mean, lets face it. The Demo barely gave us anything. There are new game modes to play, the directors ALOT smarter and better, instead of the same old set types of items, there are many many new guns and side items, and instead of each campaign being the same thing except with new layouts in L4D2 all the campaigns have a distinct feel to them.

To me, it warrants a sequal.

ODST would not have sold if everyone thought like you. I am buying L4D2 day one.

^ And that would be a bad thing? Seriously, face it: Valve just used a different can of paint and added a few splotches of color here and there. L4D2 shoulsd not be a $60 launch price. But if Valve lowered it, ignorant people would see it as a somehow less worthwhile game. Heh... the whole community is defective...

ODST was 60 dollers and wasnt worth. People bought it. Why would you want it to be completly brand new? New characters/infected, weapons, and maps are all you want and when they make it people get mad? I dont know about you but ill sure be having fun blowing zombies apart with some friends when the 17th comes around

Wow, after playing the demo I realized the game most definitely isn't worthy a purchase.

It's kind of like ODST. If you're a big Left 4 Dead fan then this would be a good buy. But overall I don't think there's enough new content to make this game worth $60. I played the demo as well and felt like I was playing the first one with new characters and new weapons. I think this would have been a good DLC though.

ODST isn't worth the $60 price tag either. You got what?? A 3 hour SP campaign and 3 new MP maps and one new mode. Sounds more like an expansion then a completely new game. Some could even say that about MW2... I just feel there are way more changes and additions to that game and that to me is worth $60. My opinion of course.

Meh I want Assassin's Creed 2 a little bit more. L4D was pretty fun, and my friends are yelling at me to getL4D2 (litteraly). But I figure I can just get it for Christmas or even get it on a Best Buy or Gamestop 2 for 1 deal and if it sucks, whatever it was free.

You cant really say that. ODST only added a new map pack, campaign, and game mode.

This game has a bunch of new campaigns, multiple new game modes, added depth to alot of things, just alot new things. I mean, look at other seqauls in the past; Halo 2 to Halo 3, all they added was a new campaign, revised the game mods, and added a theatre. GoW1 to GoW2; added multiplayer things, added a new game mode, and campaign. Even the new CoD4 to MW2, all they added was a new campaign, added depth to MP, and added a new game mode.

All of these games were proper Multiplayer seqauls, nothing short, and so will L4D2.

THe Original Left 4 Dead didn't have bullet wounds or Zombie Intestines. LEft 4 Dead 2 in my opinion is a completely new game.:D

Modern Warfare 2 isn't that much different from Modern Warfare 1. (I have both). That doesn't mean MW2 isn't worth playing, or isn't any less enjoyable.

I'm looking forward to MW2 for it's single player campaign. I know I'll end up finishing that in two days (I don't bother with Veteran, waaaay to frustrating). I don't play Call of Duty online because it's just not my thing (more of a Team Fortress 2 type of player).

So I'll play MW2 INTENSLEY for two days, think it's the best thing ever made, then I never play it again. I'll be playing Left 4 Dead 2 for the next year.

I already paid it off. I wasn't even really that interested in it but the demo alone got me to pay it off about an hour later, haha.

Yeah ODST sold alright, but everyone who bought it got ripped off big time. Now it won't be as bad as ODST, but Left 4 Dead 2 for $60 is a rip off as well.

I agree there, MW 2 come with a new single player campaign but they didn't even make it to the average length of a FPS. If it wasn't for the game being so popular I wouldn't have bought it, it will carry a fantastic resale value for a long time.

Yeah the first time I played the demo I thought they'd made it worse than L4D1 in a lot of ways.

Then the second time I played it I started to notice and enjoy the new things.

By the third play-through, I loved it and now I can't wait to get it.
