Soldier of fortune - good or bad?

I have read erviews about soldier of fortune payback!

Some people say it's rubbish and others like it. iv'e never played a soldier of fortune game and to me it looks good. does anyone have a view on it?

I played the PC version and as a fan of SOF and SOF 2 I am totally dissapointed, but from the reviews I never expected anything good. This game is total crap. The kills look really stupid and the gore just doesn't make sense and the game is really buggy too.

Pass on this one.

I played 1 and 2...this is has nothing to do with it, really. It's not THAT bad, but it's not nearly something that's a must-have by any means. Plus side-don't need the disc to play.

damn it look at what it's stacked against:
Bioshock
Halo 3
Call of Duty 4
Orange Box
Gears of War (for PC)
Crysis

On BOTH platforms that it's released on (Xbox 360 and PC) it's completely out****d by vastly superior games. So no, it doesn't stack up. At all. Heck even the mediocre Timeshift is better. This is a rental. If even that.
