I got my dad a 360 for christmas, and madden along with it. He likes sports games and is usually good at them but hasn't played newer generation games that much so he isn't that good yet. He likes the sports games, but also likes action adventure fantasy type stuff. Could anyone suggest some games that are very good yet quite easy to play to get for him for his birthday. I am already getting him Prince of Persia, but I would like some more suggestions.

I would buy him some MS points and give him the option of downloading some arcade games.

Too Human is pretty easy. Gears of War 1 & 2 are also pretty easy :P

I'll have to check out Too Human, and I agree with you about Gears 2, but Gears 1 is way to hard for him alone. We actually have a Co-op game going on with Gears 1 on my 360. Thanks for the suggestions, and keep them coming. Also if anyone could tell me the degree of difficulty of Assassins Creed and Fable 2 I would appreciate it also. Keep in mind that for the exception of playing through Resistance Fall of Man, and half of Gears of War my dad hasn't played video games since the Super Nintendo Era.

I'm gonna have to disagree with orb. Too Human is not for a new gamer. The first level may be gotten through with just the action on screen, but once you're in the second dungeon, get ready for pain if you haven't learned the game mechanics. At its core, it's a deep RPG with stats. Left for Dead is a great choice if you want to co-op. At its core, a simple shooter having auto-scalable challenge within the world. The depth comes with random chance boss monsters and strategy Fable 2 is perfect. A fun RPG that's newbie friendly and should be easy because the first one was easy (much to my dismay as I enjoy deep RPGs like Too Human and Fallout) I rented Assissn's Creed. A sandbox stealth game with easy yet satisfying combat and superlative sense of place concerning its game world. For sports, check out Blitz: The League II, a mature football game. They go all out since they don't have the NFL license. I hope this helped. :)
