some Xbox 360 Elite questions

Ok, well i'm really interested in buying the Elite, but i wanted a few quick questions answered, and i'd really appreciate the feedback. basicaly, i have a 1080p 63' Samsung tv, and surround sound. alot of people are saying a nice set up is the thing to have if you want an Elite. would this be a good set up to notice to differences? and my biggest concern, is the harddrive. i've heard things about losing achievement points, or not being able to get them after transfering saved games. anyway to avoid this? once again, i really appreciate the feedback. thankyou.

There are going to be some issues migrating from a Premium to and Elite, but it looks like the folks at Microsoft are working that. I am keeping my fingers crossed.
