If you want to cancel before that date, call 1800-4MY-XBOX It'll charge 50 USD to your card (if you're on an annual plan) automatically so you don't have to do anything in this scenario.
They will charge you automatically if you do not cancel. If you gave them a charge account number and want to cancel be sure to contract the credit card company so you encounter no problems.
