Why do people in general always ask this question. Which game should i get ___ or ___ ? I mean honestly, would it absolutely kill you to run to your nearest video rental store and rent the both of them so you arent getting flamed on a board? I cant count how many times someone has gone on the COD 4 board and said, "hey guys should i get this or Halo 3." I mean what kind of dumb question is that. Sure you will get some logical answers from a FEW people, but the majority are going to say OH HALO SUX AND COD 4 IS THE BEST EVAARR!! So save yourself the flaming and the stupid responses and just go rent the games and make your own judgement based on how you like them. /rant

Well if we are throwing economics into this lol you could also make the case in reverse. Say they go out and buy a game that everyone said they liked and recommended it. If the person doesnt like the game they lose out on at least $15 because of trade in value. So in some cars thats like a quarter of a tank and it would take less than a quarter of a tank( i would assume) to get to a momma and poppa video rental store.

I dont have an issue with people asking if they should get this game or that one. I always simply ask them what their tastes are. Someone who prefers to run and gun isnt going to like Rainbow Six Vegas 2. At the same time, a player who loves to sit and snipe isnt going to want to play UT 3!! No matter how good a games reviews or ratings are, you might not like it. Remember, not every gamer likes every game. I think as members of these forums, we shouldnt be so bothered by peoples questions!!

Hey, there's nothing wrong with asking people's opinions. Of course your going to get a number of stupid, non-informative answers, but you will also get some honest, possibly informed answers from people with both games and a non-bias view. I despise rental places and have been too lazy to renew my gamefly account, so I can understand people that ask opinions before making a game purchase

I dont honestly have a huge problem with people asking, i just feel that, the games are there at the video store so why not just rent them instead of risking the chance of getting flamed. Sure getting flamed isnt the biggest deal in the world but it does get annoying from those "internet tough" guys you know? Also, if i tell you a certain food is just amazing would you outright buy it or would you rather get a taste of it before spending your money on it? It involves the same principle as games IMO.
