As of last night, I've played both of the major games three times through. One thing I don't understand though, is how the target & the assassin find the time to have a two minute conversation amongst the massing amounts of city guards and the people who are running away from you. In spite of that, your target needs to have already been assassinated, yet they still have the ability to speak. Maybe this is just some plot device that I'm taking too literally, but I demand answers.

I was thinking the same thing,,,

I mean after you jump on this dude in the middle of a butt load of guards, you and the target have a talk about the facts of life or sumthing...

But it might just be the target's final thoughts being displayed... idk

This. If it's anything else, it's just a silly game flaw ;).

Its not a flaw, its fiction and a video game; there is rarely anything realistic about games. I would think jumping 200ft into a bale of hay and someone reliving their ancestors memories through a machine or the fact that when you die in a video game, you just get right back up would have taught everyone that. I would think over the years, people would have learned to suspend disbelief.

Too bad games portray life to it's fullest extent, huh?

What we do in video games is well beyond the realm of life to its fullest. But there is nothing wrong with, that's what video games are for; given that, do you really require an explanation for everything? I mean there couldn't be a logical explanation because none would hold up. Lets say for example it was a supernatural explanation like its their spirits talking to each other, but then how does Altair get blood from a spirit. Another could be tech, like this is happening because of the Animus, but then how could that be possible when it is only memories? Altair would of had to have experienced himself, bringing it right back to square one of how. If they tried to explain it, people would have called it a plot hole, so why bother.

If you'd played the second one three times, I'd've thought you would've. Noticed how the post assassination conversations were dramatically shortened. Realistically short, considering one of the conversationalists was mortally wounded. As far as the guards' considerate nature in letting you hear the dying man's last words, I attribute that to shock that their charge was killed from right under their noses.

How do you stick a guy with a hidden blade in the throat or the spinal cord and have him talk like he's moderately hurt?!

All of the assassins are trained in the magical arts of MAGIC!

By the bye, the DS game Altair's chronicles was referenced in AC2, so don't stick to just the 'major' games if you want the full story.

Yes, because Ezio is constantly severing his target's spinal cord. C'mon man. Every assassination is a blade to the mid-section (either from the front or the back) which doesn't kill you immediately. It's not unrealistic.
