Something I have noticed about the 360 forum

All the topics follow a generic formula. There are 5 types of topics.

1. What game I should get, I can't decide because I'm an idiot.

2. How do I set up my 360 (hardware questions in general). I can't figure it out myself because I'm an idiot.

3. Halo does not suck

4. Call of Duty 4 vs. 5

5. What is the best game in a particular genre

To be blunt this pisses me off. We need to start having more variety in our topics.

well their is a decent variety of topics and instead of complaining about it why don't you make your own "original" topic?

I second that notion. If I am allowed to be presumptuous the mods would sticky a general thread for similar topics. No sense in complaining that everyone else should start posting a variet of topics when you do not take your own advice. 8)

I also thought I would add this.

People come onto the 360 forum to talk about 360 related topics. All the things you listed are obviosly 360 related and people are curious to what other people have to say.

If someone wants to know which game to buy they are probably looking for a good opinion so they don't go and waste $60 on a game they will only play once.

Also, I don't see why it is "generic" that people come here to get help to resolve technical issues. I don't think someone who has some red lights flashing and does not know what it is all about is going to come on here and say "I don't want to post about this because it's way to generic." People have the right to get the info they need/want.

If you want some "original" thread/topics why not try the off-topic forum. This is a 360 based forum ya know.

Avoid the threads you hate and only answer the ones you enjoy. It'll make the others drop as the ones you like get more attention.

you may have made a different topic but it has nothig to do with games so it is a stupid forum

1. I agree that there are a lot of topics about which game a person should get, but they really only want another person's opinion and not everyone constantly goes to the stickied thread, looking through the dozens of pages to answer questions. It's difficult to get them answered sometimes.

2. As for the hardware aspect of the 360, people just need help with the 360 having it's own problems and want advice how how to get the most out of the console. Believe it or not, not everyone in the entire world knows what an hdmi cable is, and for thinking so you would have to be very thick.

3. Halo, yes I see this a lot and it becomes annoying.

4. CoD 4 vs. 5, not so much. People say WaW is 5 but it isn't.

5. The best game in a particular genre, I really rarely, if ever, see this, but would like to. The biggest gripe I have about these forums is how people make useless threads that do nothing to help out the xbox 360 community.

you make some points i really dont see why so many ppl are getting so mad at you and picking fights, however you can find a lot of different ones if you go to the actual forum section and the the 3 that are displayed on the xbox homepage. But there are a lot a repeats and it does get anoying which is why there are days i dont post anything cuz theres the same old stuff going on.

ANYWAYS why is everyone fighting this is a good post its the first one ive wrote on all day becuz its not the same ol same ol

there are a trillion cod4 vs cod5, ppl complaning about gears 2 online, halo sucks, halo doesnt suck
