While in use, what I've been noticing lately is that while playing without anybody else on my console (only 1st controller connected), the top left quadrant (1st controller) is lit green, but then all of a sudden the light changes to the top right quadrant (2nd controller) even though just one controller is connected. It reverts back to the top left quadrant after about 10 seconds or so. This is not to say I am having any problems with my controllers but I'm hoping this isn't a sign of far worse things to come for my 360.
Same thing for me. I'm assuming the piece in the console that checks to see if the console is standing or laying is faulty. That makes the most sense. Nothing major.
Happened to my old Xbox before it went all RRod. I assume you have it standing vertically? At any rate, it didn't really effect how it worked and was only a littlw bit annoying. But you can almost hear that RRod train chugging right for ya can't ya? If you don't want it to do that then put it back horizontally.
The same thing happens to mine all the time andits never causedany problems. It just distracts me because I see a light flash on the console so I look away from the the screen to check it out.
when i had mine standing vertical it would do that but now that its laying down it dont do itat all ..I must say to mines alot quiter then my bros and he got one of the new holiday bundles and mine was manufactured in april 2006

How could it take "months"? Calling 18004MYXBOX and the whole process of getting it fixed after RROD should take about 23 days. And you guys are right it might think its horizontal when its not. As much as I'd like to keep it horizontal my dorm room and the little space I have prohibits that. And pretty much all the other 360s and PS3s in my res hall are standing vertically as well.
