I am soon going to be getting a Xbox 360, and was wondering what games would be good to start off with? I am not a sports fan, so sports/racing games wouldn't be good for me. I am also not a fan of the whole Grand Theft Auto type games. I've played a few and feel that it's the same thing over and over again and it is getting boring to me.
The games I have been looking at mostly are Gears Of War & Perfect Dark Zero. I haven't played either, but I have played Perfect Dark 64 and it was one of my favorite games of all time. What do you people think about these games?
Also, what are some good games to look forward to besides the obvious Halo 3?
Gears of War is definatly a buy, well other than that...Lost Planet, GRAW, Rainbow six: Vegas, Splinter Cell ....there is alot of good games out for it.Â
Get Call of Duty 2 to start off with. It's really an amazing game that you can't go wrong with. It should be cheap too. Also try out Oblivion, then mabey Rainbow 6 if you like.

Dead Rising is not yet mentioned I believe, it is a love it or hate it game so you might wanna check out the demo first. Perfect dark zero was a bit of a dissappointment to me ( haven't played it on 64 ). I expected more from it. Gears of war is a must have. Lost Planet is a bit of the same story as with Dead Rising. Oblivion if you slightly like rpg's you'll love this one. Viva Pinata is actually a lot of fun but try it first. R6 Vegas if you have live.
