What do you think?ISuperGamerI
I dont know thats why i asked! Considering i have played both i think i like rock band better but i was wondering what other peeps thought
Well, with Rock Band, you can play online Quickplay and Band World Tour (RB2 only) with your pals. There is also like 100 tracks to download at $2/song. (160 MP) A few of them are free, however.
However, with Guitar Hero WT, you can screw DLC. Why? You make the DLC. In other words, you can make your own songs to play! (No vocals, though.)
I have RB, but I really want to give WT a whirl.
Assuming that playing Rockband 2 is pretty much the same as playing rockband 2,
I have played GHWT and Rockband, and while rockband has some pretty great songs with a great DLC library, I just found the gameplay of world tour way more engaging. The drums are kinda tough to pick up afer being stuck with 4 pads from rock band but they really create a much more realistic experience. plus they just feel great to hit and are very bouncy.
The RB guitar is no comparison to the new WT guitar and just feels cheap. The new GH strum bar has a little flat piece on the top that sticks out and gives your thumb something to actually grip which is a minor change but is a really great addition to the guitar
The gripes with WT are how band tour isnt deep enough because it has no fans and that junk, but with the amount of quality songs, which are the only reason you would play a music game like that, and the better instruments and gameplay, I found guitar hero to be the better of the 2.
Although you would be making a pretty great choice on a great game whichever you choose.
This is coming from someone who isn't really that into either game so take it with a grain of salt but....
I like GH more cause it has Zakk Wylde and Ozzy Osbourne both make apperances.

Half the songs in GHWT are already in RB/RB2

What part of better instruments and gameplay do you not understand?
Ive beat Rock Band 2 and own WT and I personally find WT just plain more fun. The instruments are better (though some people are having serious malfuntioning problems with them... I only have a slightly wonky yellow button on the touch bar that registers as two notes occasionally). All the great songs from RB are in WT, + a hell of a lot more awesome songs that arent in RB, and the drums are amazingly fun to play compared to Rock Bands imo. That IGNnorant review was BS. The custom music mixer tunes arent meant to be taken seriously and are simply icing on the cake of a great and well put together game.
Who gives a **** about Rock Band having a bigger setlist and more DLC. I go for gameplay. GH wins this one for me. And I'm not even going to pay attention to that 7.9 review by IGN they are just sucking Harmonix dickPapaDoink
You say you go for gameplay when GH has one of the worst HUD and interfaces and faulty drums? You cant even see who is failing... Stop being a fanboy
I personally couldn't care less what anyone thinks about the set list, that is a personal opinion, but from a gameplay perspective I just think that Rock Band is the slicker game. And when comparing drum hardware, neither of these games offer an "authentic" experience, they both have weak points, but I feel once the 3rd party cymbals come out for RB 2 it will offer the most variation.Large_Soda
all it want is the two kick pedals some songs are just impossible i mean come on how do they expeect you to play death metal with just 1
Guitar hero: World Tour all the way, theres somthing about RockBand i really dont like.daveversion1
why do i keep hearing this people can give a reason so they say something just dosent feel right. I think people are noticing the timing diff between the games if GH is still like teh 3rd then its really loose its almost too easy but RB tightens it up quite a bit alot people having a hard time being as good as they were at GH
