This is utterly ridiculous. I'm apalled at the state of this update and the disruptions that it has caused. I work in IT for a living, and I understand that sometimes there are problems or updates breed unwanted results. That having been said, this is still atrocious. The sheer variety of problems that this has caused (latency, online games not working, blade loading issues, RRODs, disc read errors - if you don't believe me check here and http://forums.xbox.com) coupled with the number of reports should be an utter embarassment to Microsoft.
We're all paying for this service, and if they can't continue to provide it, perhaps they can find another way to justify the hard-earned money that we gave them... IN ADVANCE.
This is just flat-out unacceptable, and I plan on seeking a refund if this isn't promptly resolved; they've never had a problem demanding money so why should I? $50 for a 12 month card = $0.13/day We're on day 2
