I was wondering if the 360 wireless adapter works with N routers. I am now just thinking about getting Live and i can't use a ethernet cable to connect . My connection is upstairs but my laptop receives the single fine so the only way I can connect is with the wireless adapter. Just wanted to make sure it would work before I bought an expensive wireless adapter. I am going to try Ebay so it will be a little cheaper.

I believe most, if not all N routers are B and G compatible, which is what the Xbox Wireless Adaptor uses. I have an N router and the Wireless Adaptor and it works fantastically.

.. or for ... free you use your laptop and connect to live :) it's legal and free. just hook up and ethernet cable from the 360 to your laptop, and you'll be gaming online just as fast as you'd do with the adapter.
