When the text appears when you can pick up a weapon, For the FAL with the grenade launcher, it's spelled "FAL w/ grenade laucher" I thought that was pretty interesting, and was wondering if anyone else had noticed it.

That's not a mistake... Even if it was, it wouldnt matter at all and a spelling mistake is certainly not interesting.

It's okay I'm sure you're not the only one. The brain likes to auto-complete words. It happens to everyone.

I find mispellings in a lot a games.

True. You can go through a list of scrambled words and as long as the first and last letter are correct the brain can determine what the scrambled word is. Pretty neat. I got this in an email awhile back that illustrates this (not sure if the statistics are correct. It is a FWD email after all :P) :

"fi yuo cna raed tihs, yuo hvae a sgtrane mnid too Cna yuo raed tihs? Olny 55 plepoe out of 100 can.

Well I, for one, think that a spelling mistake in a video game is very interesting, ESPECIALLY in a military-based game.

I doubt its as low as 55% though. Its even cooler if you see text where the words are spelled backwards "ekil siht". There are some examples on line and its crazy how easy it still is to read.

Well I, for one, think that a spelling mistake in a video game is very interesting, ESPECIALLY in a military-based game.

Not sure why it's that interesting, even if it is in a military-based game. Are they supposed to be more accurate or something? Fairly sure that no military types would have been involved in the proofreading.
