Spiderman 3 or Marvel Ulimate Alliance - which do I buy?

Got some money to burn nd I am looking for a nice beat 'em up type game.  I was thinking of picking up either Spiderman 3 (saw the movienow want to play the game) or Marvel Ultimate Alliance (owned it once and stupidly got rid of it.)

Which one would be the way to go?  Or would there be another game that I should consider?

I personally dislike topics like this, your ultimatley gonna make your own decision, so just go spend 20 minutes and find out which one you'll like more. All i can say is which one i would want more, which doenst really help you b/c i might not like a game you love. But i would say spiderman just because i haven't played it and i dont like ultimate alliance at all, why not just rent both of them since you used to own M:UA?

lol, i dont really like these sorts of games so i cant even give you much advice, maybe crackdown if you havent already gotten. sorry not much help.:P

to me, i personally think both those games are subpar, so i wouldn't waste 65$ on them w/tax, buy on ebay to try and get cheaper i would personally just wait for forza 2or C&C but those arent beat um ups,

I got SM3 on thursday and its a really addictive game...you have to take the time out to actually just cruise around on the old web slingers........web:?

But in all fairness, i havent played ultimate alliance..i think they are really two different types of game there fella. UA is basically straight beat em up, whereas SM3 is an open ended world type gameplay, and although you beat people up, its not really the same if you follow my logic. But in any case, i feel you should try the new SM3 game, its a great game and is really cinematic in some respects and action packed. The graphics are also quite nice....give it a go and if you dont like it, then return it and say "my bad, it was the other one my brother wanted for his b-day present" ;)

I played SP2 it was ok, well until you got about 48% done and the story was over, then it just wanted you to save like a million civilions. i'll probably rent SM3, wouldn't imagine it would have much replay value to it to warrant the 60$ price tag
