Personally, I'm just downloading it right now, but if you have already played it, please let us know what you think.

lots of complaints about it not feeling like chaos theory I dont know why they are surprised considering all the developer videos that have been around
I thought the gameplay was very good but the graphics arent that great, I would say the 360 is starting to show its age but ME2 looked amazing as does halo Reach
dont think it will beat Chaos theory
I just finished playing it, and I'm still unsure about this game.
Usually the Splinter Cell games were a graphically showpiece, but I thought this demo looked very bland, almost downright ugly.
The gameplay was silky smooth, especially the cover mechanic and like previous Splinter Cells, shadows are a big part of staying alive. The AI was pretty dumb for the most part. In some instances, they wouldn't leave their area or room to come look for you on the other side of the wall. The thing I like most about the demo was that I basically had two different play styles to choose from. I could run through it, guns ablaze or I could be patient and watch enemy patrol patterns and strike at the right moment.
I'll wait for reviews on this one, but it does seem like a good rental at this point.
It was fun, but I missed stealth options, and reasons why you should use it.
Going guns blazing was sometimes easier than sneaking by.
It is quite good though.
Downloaded it today.
Agreeing with everyone, it is way to short. I did like the executions :)
thats about it...
far too short. but i really enjoyed what it was. the graphics are awesome, whats wrong with you? i think you take things for granted too much. and i didnt go guns blazing at all, its really fluid. i cant wait to play the full game
I just finished it myself and as everyone is saying it was way too short but still very good, I liked the change of gameplay it's faster and makes you feel more deadlier, the mark and execution is cool and the graphics look great...I don't see what looks so outdated, but overall really good game.
I don't like the black and white gimmick. It's a fun game but I really think that will prevent me from buying the game, I don't like where the series is going...KlownMaster
What was that black and white thing? It was terribly distracting when I was closing in on a guy.
oh yeah i forgot about the black and white thing. it kinda seemed to change out of the blue, i didnt really know what was going on. it seemed very dark in parts, i was hoping for a torch or something

That's to indicate whether a enemy detects your presence at your location/position. Ifthey detect that you are at a certain position, the visual will go back to color. You then can sneak to a different position and your enemies will think you were still hiding in the same spot. Enabling you to stealth, sneak around corners, and perform executions. You cannot pick up and hide bodies :| The dumbass writing on the walls, arrow prompts and weird Sam Fisher ghost things when you're in cover are stupid. "Marking" enemies for executon takes away the challenge. The enemy AI is cretinous. Moving from cover to cover is effortless. Infinite pistol ammo even on Realistic. The stealth is dumbed way down.
I knew the stealth/action ratio had shifted in this installment but it's too much. The demo wasn't bad by any means, just not quite what I want or expect from Splinter Cell. I'm still giving the full game a chance, I have been waiting 4 years after all.
This game just doesn't do it for me. It seems VERY dumbed down with the sonar goggles, the infinite ammo, the cover system, the black and white "art direction, also in the full game they have an EMP blast instead of the pistol. The graphics were good, but not outstanding.
It just didn't feel like a Splinter Cell game and I can guarentee you that I won't be buying this game.

Yet people had no problem in the past with the BRIGHT GLOWING GREEN LIGHT on your back. Just sitting there hiding in the shows, with this bright as daylight green light and yet the guard/enemies somehow could not see it. I've always loved SC but that garbage always ticked me off.

See you day one on the SC:C board.
I liked the execute feature, that's really cool. Everything about the game was good. I haven't played the Splinter Cell games since Pandora Tomorrow, but this will definitely be a buy for me.
The things I didn't like so much were the black and white notifications and the AI isn't the smartest. I don't know about you guys, but I managed to sneek pass the six guys guarding the warehouse onto the next checkpoint.

Getting used to some of the changes in the controls was kind of annoying. And I feel that the levels lack the real detail that Chaos Theory and Double Agent had, to a degree. Having played it on all the difficulties that there were, the only difference that I found with the it was the accuracy of their shots. They didn't get any smarter as to where I was hiding. Mark and Execute seemed waaaaaay to easy to use to clear a room. I liked the ability to take out a room silently while isolating individuals in SC:CT, but in this it seemed like "drop on this dude, press y, kill 3 more instantly." It was cool, but I think that people will find this dumb on anything but normal or realistic. EMP seemed wonky too because it gives away your existence, and there is no strategic light-shooting to lure guys. Sonar goggles were a nice touch. My favorite addition was the cover mechanic, especially if it translates well into co-op. It just made moving around more fluid and quick, which seems to be the theme of this game.
I loved toying with enemies and feeling like the all-powerful Sam Fisher I want to be in other games. Taking out 12 guys in 25 seconds rather than 25 minutes was cool, but I hope that there are some cool setpiece-type battles to make this game worthwhile. I still play through some missions in SC:CT because they're still fun. I can't imagine clearing 5 rooms over and over is that fun. Then again, there's always Co-op.....
