game looks like it plays more like hitman. I have a feeling it's gonna be a "Jason Bourne" type of story. That's all well and good but i really hope they do a good enough job though/ The problem with the Hitman games was that it was easier to shoot everything in site than to actually sneak through the levels. That's why i don't consider them stealth games.

It doesnt looks like the splinter cell's ive played. Hm have to do some research on it.

imagine movies like Bourne Identity or Casino Royale. there is still a lot of stealth in the game, but its not about hiding in the shadows. its about making your move and attacking, then when you are done, you go back into the world and blend in with it.

Ubisoft has said that this game will not play like the past SC games. they call the new stealth in this game "active stealth," where you still have to hide, but its not about just waiting in the shadows and being patient until the coast is clear. you will have to do a lot of stuff, but not be noticed in the process. for example:
you infiltrate a room and knock out a gaurd, but other gaurds are coming. you open another door but then hide under a desk. two gaurds come, and one goes through the door you opened to check what is happening. you knock out the other gaurd and then take the last gaurd outside.Â
I bought an Xbox just for this game and maybe Mass Effect, I loved Bourne franchise and this game reminds me so much of the Bourne movies, I'm glad the game is coming together just like the movies. It's even got some Bourne music to match this game is gonna rock all Espionage games.
I have to say that I like this look a little better now. It does have that "Bourne" type visage to it so far but it seems to be a bit more refreshing to me. There's only so many times you can do the covert op's thing over and over, just like playing WWII games, hence the fact I don't play any CoD games anymore. To me it gets old. I like the idea of being a disavowed agent in a more localized setting. Whichever studio is making this, Montreal or Shangai, I applaud them for taking a different approach to a great franchise and Ubi for approving. Of course this has to be taken into context from Tom Clancy since it has to follow his IP on the novel series.
Chaos Theory provided me with all the stealth action i wanted, so am really excited about the new concept introduced in Conviction, I really hope they don't delay it like all Splinter Cell games to March.
it look wikked! the old splinter cell formula was getting old, and double agent was a hardcore letdown. but i realy can't believe that it's coming out this year, no way in hell!
i hate to say it but it doesn't look that fun. the old Spliner Cell games had style (Crystal Method's "Name of the game" in the opening credits of the 1st game anyone?)  and a sense of realism (half of you people didn't know 5.7 mm handguns existed until this game.) while being coupled with a simple game mechanic. don't get heard, don't get seen. This complex type of game will turn people away. That's why not many people dook their pants whenever a new Hitman game gets announced. These type of games aren't built to be as accessible or exciting as the Metal Gear Solids and other Splinter Cells are. I sincerely hope to be wrong in this case since Sam Fisher is one of my favorite video game characters of all time. He's up there with Mario.
