is this game kind of like MGS4, where you can choose to go in guns blazing OR sneak in stealthy, or is it more strict like the earlier Metal Gear Games?

I haven't played it in a long time but i think you can go trigger happy. It is definitely more strict than MGS4 though. I also think their may be parts where you HAVE to be stealthy.

well there were parts in MGS4 where you HAD to be stealthy, but most of the time you could do what you wanted.

Yea, it gives you a rating based on how you play each level. It is a good game with a variety of ways to play and excellent graphics. The variety of tactics was one of it`s biggest features, and adds a lot to the replayability

If you play on the hardest difficulty, im pretty sure you start off with no ammo for any guns
