u mean when he has the sniper right? i just grabbed a hockey stick, let brad do most of the work, and coming out of a store i hid in near by every now n than to try to shoot him with a puck, then in the end when he is almost dead i just run out to him as he is pretty close to me already n hit him once then he dies lol

You can get one in the north plaza, but I can't remember the name of the store. You can also get one in the entrance plaza, it is an antique store. Look at your ingame map to find it. It says that it is an antique store if I remember right. There is also a broad sword in the one in the north plaza and a battle axe in the antique shop.
I know you want to do the story, but I'd run around and level up a bunch more before tackling the story. Just makes it easier and you can learn the mall better, which you'll need to do.
