Star Ocean Review

Just curious if the few people who have SO agree with the score of 7.5 given to it by GS. I usually agree with game reviews, but not this one. I don't think it's a 10, but i'd say mid-8 to a 9 tops. I agree that the dialog is cheesy at times and the character models and lighting are strange but, I guess I was expecting this already since these are all JRPG "traits". Also I can see how people are turned off by lengthy cutscenes but I personally enjoy them. I like games with deep stories and characters. I would like a pause feature for the cutscenes though. The story is a bit cliche', that is getting old in games in general. Anyway, just wanted to share my opinion and see what other people think. This is not meant to bash GS or SO, so please no excessive negativity. Also, NO SPOILERS please. I haven't completed the game yet.

I completely disagree with GS' review. I'd say its around a 8.5 game imo.

I stopped paying attention to GS reviews a long time ago. Especially their JRPG reviews. Don't let reviews stop you from enjoying good games.
