No, Bioware is making a Star Wars MMO titled Star Wars: The Old Republic that is exclusive to PC...

I guess the most optomistic way to put it is this:

To date, BioWare has made no announcements regarding the existence of Knights of the Old Republic 3, though they have left themselves substantial timeline space between 2 and The Old Republic to insert such a game.

I wish they'd give it to Obsidian. They made KOTOR2 but that game suffered alot because it was made on a really rushed production cycle (as dictated by people outside of Obsidian) but there are aspects of that game that were amazingly well done. The story felt very small and personal in a way that only movies can usually pull off. The characters, head lined by Kriea, were great and I loved the influence system. If they had the chance to work on a 3rd game and were given a decent production cycle this time around, I think they'd really nail it.

I totally agree with you. Lucas Arts needs to give Obsidian a good amount of time to develop KOTOR 3. I wouldn't mind either Bioware or Obsidian to work on KOTOR 3. Either developer would be great for me. There were some really good things about KOTOR 2, but there were some lows as well; the ending was pathetic. It showed that KOTOR 2 was rushed near the end and wasn't given enough time to make KOTOR 2 an exceptionally great game. I do agree with you though, I think Obsidian can really nail it if given the right amount of time.

Yeah, I was so sad when I saw that Bioware was making a Star Wars MMO instead of KOTOR 3. I'd guess that we have EA to blame for it, as bioware has always been a company that focused on single-player story driven RPG's. Maybe Obsidian will pick it up, but they're currently working on Alpha Protocol, a spy RPG. I wish someone would do it though. KOTOR 1 and 2 are the only two original xbox games that I still own.
