I wish...KOTOR is one of my favorite games ever.
Only one bit of info. Bioware have one game in production for next year (aside from neverwinter nights 2). Though nobody knows what it is.

Sorry to burst the buble of all the XBOX fanboys , but BioWare has also signed on to devlope for the PS3. Odds are if the y decie to make a KOTOR 3 and my bet is they will, it will e multiplatform between 360, PS3 and PC. This is just one more clink in the 360's armor!!!kungfuchaos

Bioware didn't allow anything. It's not up to them. They passed on KOTOR II to work on Jade Empire, but they didn't simply let Obsidian do it this one time, they have no legal control over the next Knights game. Lucasarts elected to put KOTOR I and II on the Xbox, and the 360 will be an even bigger success, so it wouldn't be surprising for the third KOTOR to be an Xbox 360 exclusive.

ACTUALLY they wont ever do a KOTOR again, they did the first one and thats it. They are working on a 360 game or two, most likely that asian-themed RPG's sequal and something else. ON TOP of that, they are working on a multiplatform game.
No chink in any armor - stupid cow, intelligents is for lemmings!

He speaks the turth, and boiware wil lilely never do a KOTOR game again - they want to do other stuff. Besides, KOTOR 3 was in development at LA intself and then the project went into limbo - who knows when it will come back, and who knows what platforms it will be on
It would make a lot of sense to make another one - both financially and in terms of the story. The KoTOR series is so popular (and with good reason) that there's very few excuses not to make another.
However, it won't be BioWare doing it. If there's another one (and I sincerely hope there is - they're two of my all time favorite games (say what you will about KoTORII, I loved it)), then it'll be Obsidian or some other company entirely.
Fingers crossed it's in the works, though. A third game, on the 360 no less, would rock. Rock very, very hard indeed.
It could be a mult-platform game, but I doubt it. Most likely Xbox360 and PC only.
Playstation gamers would be in the dark about the story arc involving Revan and the Exhile. Bastilla and Carth, Briana and the Jedi Academy on the polar caps of Telos, Visas, Atton and Bao-dur. That's just too much for PSgamers to catch up with.
I'm not saying it couldn't be done, but they would be playing the game blind for lack of knowledge of key past events.
[QUOTE="ethanraiden"]KotOR 2 was good, but the start where your trapped on that ghost ship for ages, that's bad, and the reason why I never went back to play it a second time.ramee321
dude thats exactlly y i dont play it anymore lol
Ghost ship? If you mean Peragus then that wasn't a ship, it was a mining station. Peragus takes about the same length of time that it took for you to get off of Taris in KOTOR1 and really wasn't a bad level to begin with.
The level that I didn't care for was the Telos orbital platform but it was so quick that I didn't have time to complain about it.

Taris on KOTOR 1 wasnt any better. You couldn't even so much as stare someone down in that first section. I ended up saving the spot right before I took the Jedi training and played multiple times from there. I think the real bonehead choice in KOTOR 2 was making you wait for the lightsaber so long. You start choking people to death before you can bruise them with the crappy weapons you have. Kudos to the Sith Lord idea though.
KOTOR 3 needs to be a total redesign, whenever it comes out. The graphics and action of the previous games were saved by the story and overall gameplay.
As recently as January 2006, rumours have it that Obsidian is working on KOTOR 3
The article is posted here: http://www.xboxcircle.com/portal/content/view/953/1/
The relevant info is short and sweet:
"Also quietly in development is KOTOR 3, with the team at Obsedian still behind the game early news is that players can expect better interaction between NPCs and the main character, also IGN said to expect the fighting system to be completely real time. What is not known at the time is which platform KOTOR 3 will land on, one can hope that Obsedian would make the next gen jump."

The trick to playing Taris is giving your companions the best armor and appropriate skills. Give Carth your best blaster, give Zaalbar your best melee weapon. Give Mission your best armor and put her out of range with a blaster. I played this way without having to level up more than a few times. By the time I started my Jedi training I had tons experience points to spend on Jedi skills.
You can fast track the building of your lightsaber KOTOR2 by going to Dantooine right after you leave Telos. The Ithorians give you one part, Visas will give you another and you can get the third part off of Joran at the Enclave. It actually shaves hours off the time needed to assemble your lightsaber and provides you with your focus crystal all on one level.
It's all in how you play the game.

Well Taris sorta sucked cause after the first time through I saved my experience points for Dantooine. I ended up as like a level 2 scout but a level 18 Jedi Guardian. The later levels were a breeze, but playing Taris with 27 hit points (something like that) was rough indeed.
taris to me was awesome compared to peragus. peragus was just hectic and very very boring the only thing different to taris and peragus was the sidequests.
what would be cool in kotor 3 is that if u could go back to that water planet and see if kolto is still functioning well, because i couldnt blow up those tanks i had to pollute the water
A really good thing that KOTOR3 should do is for you to be able to choose what you did in the previous two games. For instance, it would ask which side you ended with (with Raven/Exile,etc) Then it should just ask a few questions to see how you chose things out and how planents differed, etc. This will ultimately lead to your game.
i hope they bring back telos and dnatooine also i want carth to be in it and i wouldnt mind having a villian back in it like maybe sion or someone like that what do u guys thinkAntartisC
I think Carth whined too much and I never understood why Darth Sion was Scottish...
There's so many ways the story could go, I don't really mind who's in it (except for HK-47, he's gotta come back because he rocks), I just want a good, thorough resolution to Revan's story.
this is how i think kotor 3 should be.
After the events on malachor v with the exile and traya the exile took the ebon hawk to corruscent with his crew (except atton who left the ship with out no one knowing) the exile met Bastila and told her to build a jedi temple on corruscent and her to lead it with all the other jedi that have been in the ebon hawk with Revan and the exile. The exile leaves to go find revan in the unknown regions meanwhile at malachor v atton stumbles in the trayus academy and is consumed by the dark side and turns into darth Timoxenus and goes into kreia’s ship and flies to the unknown regions to be the sith lords apprentice. Once he enters the sith order the sith lord grants him his apprentice the sith lords name is darth kirios and the planet is named after him.
7 years
Planets:
Corruscent
M4-78
Sleyheron
Rebuilt Taris
Mustafa
And the unknown regions
Story:
You play a character that is strong in the force and has survived the destruction of Taris when he was only 3 years old.
He is now 15 and has been told to stay in Taris as he has been told by the admiral. Mission vao and her best friend and second in charge of Taris Zaalbar.
Your first task is to deliver a parcel to mission from zaalbar when you get to her she will tell you that jedi master jolee will be coming. Once he comes he will offer you to come with him back to corruscent on his own ship. You must accept as he will keep asking you.
Once you accept and you arrive you will meet the jedi council from in order of seating
Bastila
Juhani
Jolee
Handmaiden
Visas
Bao-dur
Disciple
Mira
You will reach the council and will have three tasks to do on the planet once you complete these tasks you will report back to the council and be given bao-dur as your jedi master and travel to certain planets to find what happened to revan and the exile on different planets.
You will receive one clue per planet to see what Revan and the exile have done on that planet (sleyheron) and find what he done on the rest.
On M4-78 the hk-50s will go under republic property as soldiers, In Mustafa you find Revan and the exile about to leave to the unknown regions you then join them.
Once you reach the unknown regions sith assassins will attack you and will capture you separating you and bao-dur. Then darth kirios will enter and pursue you to become his apprentice.
Light side ending
You say no, the sith lord will torture you until bao-dur comes in and has a frantic lightsaber duel the sith lord will force push him and leaves him there by locking the door bao-dur quickly gets up and takes you out you will awake. Bao-dur will open the door then hundreds of dark jedi will attack, once they die Revan and the exile will meet you (with masks) they will tell you that there is one whole sith planet.
Revan and the exile join up with you and come back to give the jedi order and the republic the news that their si going to be a war “the sith vs. the republic” the Mandalorians are assisting the republic. Revan is once again leading the campaign.
There are different groups for different reasons
Mandalore: leading the Mandalorians
The exile: leading the jedi on ground
Revan: leading the republic on the ground
Carth: leading the republic in space
Hk-47: leading the hk-50’s on the ground
You fight hundreds of dark jedi reaching darth kirios, the exile and fellow of his partners attack him but the exile only surviving. Darth kirios runs off and bao-dur and you follow him. He then closes the door but you and bao-dur just make it the exile nearly got in but couldn’t he then hears lightsabers exchanging behind him he turns around and in disbelief he sees darth Timoxenus standing he turns to the exile then they have an intense fight to the death.
Hk-47 has cleared a path straight to the energy tower where is the most important place which signals dark side waves through out the planet side.

Obsidian is Biowares secondary developer... That means Bioware can pass on their games to Obsidian if they want to move on to another project. Bioware made the first NeverWinter and the 1st Kotor. Obsidian made the 2nd NeverWinter and the 2nd Kotor. All that i can say is that i hope they DO NOT pass the next Mass Effects on to Obsidian (it is suppsoed to be a triligy if i am correct).
While Bioware is a great developer i truly can't stand that they will just leave their games and pass it on to Obsidian. While i wouldn't mind if they just left their games (more like ending it or never making a sequal) i just think they should never pass it on to Obsidian.

so that means that they want it on the 2 million units that the ps3 has sold? or the 10 million that the 360 has sold?
