Living above Starbucks is not going to help you get free internet so you can join XBox live. You better put on a extra pot of coffee and come up with another plan.
Using someone elses internet is illegal actually.LustForSoulThe free wifi is for customers. Its not really stealing as they offer it for free. I dont think the signal will go for over 1/2 a mile lol. You'd be lucky to get a few hundred feet at best.

Guys, the OP asked this question in 2007. I really don't think he will be paying attention to your suggestions.
Though back when I didn't have an internet connection that is exactly what I did. I would just take my laptop to a Starbucks, Barnes and Noble, or library and play games.
