I'm sure there will be a review soon. It was released on Sunday and yesterday was a holiday so I'm sure it will be up once its readyprincesszeldatrue. i forgot about labor day... it just seems like since IGN has them up so early, why not gamespot too. Competition makes the world go round.
[QUOTE="spazzx625"]IGN was the only site with a review, so they probably had a pre-release copy. GameSpot waits for a retail version before reviewing.TX360
What do you mean the game was released on the 31st so they wiill have a retail copy.

The review was FINISHED on the 31st. Probably writing most of that day, it takes a while to complete a game, so count on their review review being representative of a pre-release copy.
You're complaining about Mercs 2 being late? I'm still waiting for Unreal Tournament 3's review.Quintinius
Lol yeah it only took them 2 months to do that one. But anyway, ever since the mass stream of resignations, gamespot has had a problem with putting out content. Less features, slow reviews, and less to do around the site.

That review is outALL games should matter. They shouldn't just devote most of their efforts into games they personally are excited for. Obviously Mercenaries wasnt high up on their "pumped up" list. They didn't even have a launch center. Star Wars: TFU got one already because they are excited about it. The starwars name pretty much makes em biased. Same with GTA IV....... that so did not deserve a perfect 10/10. Biased.

i do see your point, i just don't want to. the fact that the Force Unleashed is supposed to generate more excitement than Mercs 2 is pretty disgusting.
I agree, they really should have reviews done by release, they defo get pre release copies, must do...GS is lone of the largest reviewing site on the internet (they got a pre release copy for lost odessy if anyone can recall the fiasco about that) and they really should have the review done on time.
Also, you may say reviews are biased, but i think differently, if you have to play the game as quick as possible, you go through it non stop. I bet nearly every one of you thought "Wow...just...wow!" the first time you played GTA IV, then after playing it off and on again for a while, began to reflect on its flaws.
A reviewer does not have the time to do that always, they have to go by immediate (For the life of me i cannot spell that word) reactions and initial impressions after having finished SP and committed a few hours to MP. So, no, i don't think (On the whole) GS is biased, but reading the MOD's replies to this, i'd say they may well be.
Gamespot is always slow with their reviews most of the time.Legendaryscmt
yes, but only 30% of the time.

of course it's biased, it's a review. Reviews are based on personal opinionALL games should matter. They shouldn't just devote most of their efforts into games they personally are excited for.
