still too loud

i thought this falcon chip was ment to be quiet... but it isnt its still quite loud which leads me to think have i got the falcon chip or not?

it says 175 on the box 175 on the output on the brick and i have the benq drive and it was made 2007-11-08 so is it falcon?

when im playin assasins creed its goin mad the noise how ever when its just sitting there its rather quiet which is a plus

why is my ps3 silent? isnt that a computer? doesnt that have a gpu and cpu? The hype that surrounded the falcon says it runs alot quieter but still it is pretty loud

i bought it cos my other one broke and my brother couldnt wait getting it fixed...so i thought i might as well get an elite seen as i just upgraded my tv, heard these new machines were alot quieter plus i have just over 50 games for it so didnt want them to go to waste.

why does everyone complain? garbage? perhaps cos they keep on having to send their console back every three months it gets a tad annoying, even though it is free its still not good enough. An xbox 360 to some is an expensive piece of kit (fortunatly i can afford to go out and buy one but alot of people cant), they dont go out and buy one for it to break on them and having it keep breaking down on them, surely thats not fair? i spent all this money on one for it to keep breaking down. you wouldnt expect it from say a tv, microwave, fridge hoovery any electrical equipment or even a car, if you bought a car for it to break down alot wouldnt you get a bit annoyed? why should you on this console?

i bought it cos i was impressed with the games it had a % of them did live up to expectation but a few didnt thats why i bought it. is it too much to ask a company the size of microsoft to employ or give contracts to a company that could make a console that wouldnt have such a huge failure rate?

that last question is moot, why dont i make a better console? well i have no experience unlike the people building the xbox who do have experience who have still produced a faulty machine. im guessing the company that microsoft employed (is it ibm or some one like that?) did have past experience in building consoles? I know its not right to critique them cos you know i have no experience in console making developing building and all that.

but when i hand over my money i expect to get a machine thats competent that wont break if it does break for the 5th time (not inc the elite) i have got a right critisise and to say hey you have built a shoddy thing here...great it has some good games but it keeps on breaking.

why dont you make a better console then? is like you seeing something i'm doing in my job that i am obviously doing wrong and you pulling me up on it and then me replying immaturely why dont you do a better job then!, i work with muslims who have mental disorders depression schizophrenia the list is endless i also work in wakefield prison on a psychiatric ward some of the worst criminals in the uk are in there. have you had any training for any of that? i doubt it so if i asked you to do a better job its obvious you couldnt cos you havent had the training or the experience like i have people would expect me to do the better job cos i have had the training, got the degrees, had the past experience, this is alot like your make a better console.. its obvious i couldnt cos i havent had the experience, the training like they have. Put the makers in my shoes see how they would react when they got to go to work where their customers/clients are murders and sex offenders they couldnt its obvious.

but yet if it was something i was obviously doing wrong id accept the critism and move on alot like the makers of the xbox. accept it its a faulty machine, move on dont get defensive. All i wanted was some one to answer my question or even compare to their own experiences

O god..soo emotional..grow up.....its loud as hell..very loud..so loud in fact that i always think its gonna break...which is why i buy multi titles from now on for the ps3.....i try to use it only for Cod4 and exclusives.....ever hear a ps3?...dead silent.... that whole its a computer BS...is just that...BS..and my real comp isnt anywhere near that loud...ever..

oo and to the topic creator....its most likely loud because they chose the cheapest parts possible so that they could offer it to the public for the cheapest price possible...which is ironic because of the millions...maybe more they lost due to all the recalls and free repairs....they learned there lesson though...when the next generation of consoles come out i think MS will do it proper.

I do have the same problem tho....i love my 360 too...but always worrying that it will break is a hasstle ive never known till i bought a 360. i always find myself limited my game play to brief periods of time.....with it heating up unordinari;lly fast and like you mentioned...the noise.....from the fan and the disk drive..

That could be your disc drive. The fans are louder for some games and quiter for others. Everyone's 360 sounds like a powerhorse PC, because that's what it is. The main thing you should be worried about is if your 360 is overheating, because that's what will completely ruin your gaming experience. After playing assasin's creed, just gently feel the two sides of your 360 to see if they are hot. It's not important whether or not the back of the console is heating up, because that's where the fans are and that's what they do. If the two sides are slightly warm, or not warm at all, then you're golden. If, however, there seems to be a large portion of one of the sides that's strangely hot, that means your inards are getting a nice workout and have the potential of overheating.n_kors
