CoD is simplyu one of my favorite franchises of all times.

And CoD 4 is one of the most intense single player experiences i have ever played.

that said now i am truly disappointing i am not enjoying mp just because everytime i play i get matched with people

of 20 or 30 levels over mine...why?

If one thing everybody should learn from the Halo series is that being able to get matched MOSTLY with eavenly skilled players

it is very important for everybody to enjoy the game.

How come incredibly talented people as IW programmers are didn;t go this little extra mile?

How can i fuly enjoy my experience if i play with people that plays the game much more hard core then i do?

Your thoughts

Well, I played the beta like everyday so I knew how to play when the real game came out, but for a newcomer to come in and try to learn the mp while playing level 30 people I can see that being a little tough, but Its really not that bad since you learn fast and level up quick in the begining.

While i see yur point why not just level slower and doing it so even if you DO NOT want to get at level 55 and just play half an hour evey evening you can enjoy yourself as well...

I just do not understand why.

you either play the game hard core or you can't

The level system is much different than on Halo 3. You can't go down in level and in my opinion the levels come much quicker. But this system is a good fit for the way the game plays. CoD4 is a much more realistic game than Halo 3 and can't really be compared with it much.

The ranking system is based on experience, not skill. So i think it does match you up with players of the same skill level, it doesnt matter what rank they are because rank isnt determined by skill.

the lobby system is a joke, the beta's lobby system worked brilliantly. the host has to go back first then everybody else. they really need to bring out an update.

If you notice, it does try and level things out a bit. It will try and put players together so that both teams have roughly the same level of experienced players.

yes, it goes by you're actual skill, not your rank..

which is good. i had the beta, and when i first got the game, if i was playing only new gamers with low exp, i'd be slaying them. it wouldn't be fair cause i had an advantage, and it'd be kinda boring for me untill i caught up with the better gamers. i'm glad they did it this way.

being the higher rank doesn't mean their better, they just play (alot) more.

COD4 matchmaking is much betterthen Halo 3 for the following reasons:

COD4 has a more varied map selection in the matchmaking system

COD4 evens the team based on points in the last game if the lobby stays open

COd4 ranks differs from Halo 3 that it doesn't rely on skill as much as eventually everyone ranks up no matter how good they are, where as Halo 3 you will only get as high as your skill allows you. This is the major difference that allows players to play with people of different ranks.

On another note, I've seen level 3 guys beat the crap out of level 40 players
