I'm sorry SturmFuhrer. Your post provided the perfect chance for that link. It's all in fun. I'll honestly try to answer your question. Let me try and get a little more info first. Are you saying that you used a Zune to transfer dashboard images over to your 360 and you cant remove them from both the zune and 360 or you wish to remove the 360 dashboard backgrounds from your 360 via your zune? Also, are you currently leaving the Zune connected to the 360 when trying to remove the dashboard images?
I'm glad you enjoyed the link. Ok, on to your problem. I have yet to use the Zune software to connect to my 360. I find that flash keys and CD's/DVD's get the job done for me. So until I give it a try I have a few suggestions as to what the problem may be. Anybody that has dealt with the Zune software should feel free to chime in here. Now it may very well be that the Zune software is cacheing your images within a specific spot and when you deleted them from your computer you only deleted the local copy you knew about. If Zune made a second copy and stored it away elsewhere you will have to delete that as well. If this is the case I would assume that there is a option to turn this feature off (or at the very least tell you where the "backup" copy's are located) in the Zune options menu. It may also be that a setting in your 360 has stored a copy on the 360 and you will have to delete it from there as well.
These are a few of the ideas that came to me. I'm stepping out for the night so I wont be able to play with it for a bit. I'll post back tomorrow with some ideas after I have a chance to look it over on my end. I'm sure it's a simple thing and I'll have an answer for you next time I write.
Sorry I couldnt get back yesterday to post what I found. jtparsons54 is 100% correct from what I can tell. I could find no other reason that an image would stay in the dashboard under the Zune PC/360 setup other than the local copy on staying on the 360. Follow his instructions for removal and that should do the trick. If however the images are still there, then I'm at a loss as I cant replicate any other scenariowhere this problem occurs. I could only recommend a visit to the MS 360 forums at that point. Good luck.kodai
no worries. i can assure you thatmy postis the way to remove the images.
