I had a recent storm that knocked out one of my modems, and i had to order in a new one. On Xbox Live, it says my NAT is strict. I know that the NAT is not strict on my router because I have hooked the Xbox directly to the modem, and I still get the connection problems. My question is if there is a way to fix the NAT of a modem, not just a router, or will i have to be a whole new modem? Thanks

depends on the modem if it is an ADSL modem then the ports probably will need to be forwarded on the modem to the router, then from the router to the 360

i had to fight with my isp so they would forward the ports cause they own the modem and its on their password

but i put a keylogger on my comp first :)

so i got the pass now and forwarded all the ports to the router so i dont have to worry about the modem any more for port forwarding
