When I got Army of Two the week it came out, I took a break from COD4 to play Ao2. Then my brother came home from college the next weekend and he loves COD4 so he wanted to play with me. Before this I have had about 10 hours into Ao2. So I took a break from Ao2 to play COD4 with him. Before i got Ao2, I had a 1.5 kill ratio in COD4 which I think is very good. When I played with by brother, all the sudden I sucked in COD4. I wasnt aiming well for some reason. I had like 0.75 kill ratio but my brother did good with a 1.5 kill ratio. But I got back to the average of 1.5 kill ratio after couple games and I was happy and did well till my brother left to college. After that I got back to Ao2 and played it till last weekend when my friends wanted to play COD4 with me. Between now and that time, I sucked COD4 with like a 0.75 kill ratio. I was either aiming bad, using bad tacticsand weapons or my team wasnt helping me. I couldn't figure out what was happening. So, I changed my classes a little bit and I improved to around 1.0 to 1.2 kill ratio which did satisfy me. But last night and this morning, I owned in COD4 with like 2.0 kill ratios in about 8 games. I was so happy. I used to have M4, M16, P90 and RPD in my classes. I replaced all those except M4 with the mini AK, G36 and SAW. What I think actually happened was I was used to the aiming in Ao2 which is like the floating kind of aiming while COD4 is the tight kind of aiming. I am gonna play again tonight after school and see if I still do well which I think I will. I think the reason I didn't do well in COD4 was because I was used to Ao2 and I also played alot of R6V. Did any one have this kind of situation?

And what has come to my mind is that if I want to be good in COD4 which I want to be because I have so much fun, then I would have to limit myself playing Ao2 which I dont want to because I love the game.

It does take some getting used to after playing another shooter for awhile. But not long enough it should effect your k/d ratio. Bad tactics are just your fault. And you never know what kind of teammates youll get if you dont play with friends. After playing Frontlines for a few days, i got on CoD4 and promptly dropped a grenade at my teams feet. I play Hardcore so you know what happens. :/

My friends who have COD4 are below 1.00 kill ratio which kinda sucks for me because I basically have no one I know that is good or better than me.

I have no idea what your talking about...I haven't played COD in about 3 weeks until last night because I've been playing other things (like Vegas 2, NBA 2K8...). When I played last night I broke 30 kills each game and never went over 6 deaths. I also broke my highest kill streak. So I think taking a break makes you do better.

Solution: get new friends! LOL ... Send me a friend request. I'm about 1.3 and raising it up. I hear ya on feeling weird when moving from one shooter to another. Physics are always different. I'm afraid to even play Halo 3 for fear I will die 50 times before getting a kill.

Tell them to put a little more practice into it, tell them to whore the m16 or if they can't aim the p90. I rarely see people in prestiege (who play quite a bit) who have less than a 1.0, alot of cod4 is using the UAV to sneak up on people since its often whoever sees who first gets the kill.

I have had similar problems. You really only play one game at a time and be good at it, just the way things are. By the way, i have a 2.37 k/d if you wanta play (i got like 13k kills, i think)

Any time you switch games it's gonna take a little while to get back in your rhythm.
