So I want a new TV, I currently have a 27" lcd before HDMI was around. I have about $800 limit and I was looking at these 2 tvs from walmart. The price is really good on both but I dont know if there is a really big difference between LCD and LED. I have both PS3 and 360 and i watch a good amount of blurays and I use Netflix. Thanks ahead of time your opinions will help.

Vizio makes great TV's actually. They're (or at least at one point where, not sure if anymore) only offered by Wal-Mart, they're good quality at a low price. My next TV will be a visio.. there aren't any big enough/ cheap enough for me to get on black friday tho.. all the best deals are 42inch and below.

First, I hate to be negative, but there is a t.v and audio forum that the admins will direct you to soon enough.

Second. I own a 22 inch Samsung hdtv and my girlfriend owns a 24 inch vizio.

Mine was more expensive but has fantastic picture quality while hers is still good but not as colorful. You get what you pay for so focus on a high contrast level, high res t.v which alot of options for plug ins (like at least 2 hdmi ports) at a low price.

Best thing to do is go to Bestbuy or a store and look them over in person.

Skip the LED TVs for now, they're basically overpriced LCDs with a different backlight: the only difference is that they have LEDs illuminating the scren (less power usage, some have dimming function) but the display is identical. Stick to LCD and save your cash.

Granted lcds are ALOT cheaper, but have you owned for compared and led to and lcd? My dad's 42 inch LG LED t.v is one of the best picture's i've ever seen.

For my money, I would go with the Samsung. Sure it's smaller, but you get a better contrast ratio. But, besides that, my favorite televisions are Samsungs and LGs. I just couldn't bring myself to buy a Vizio. Not that they're bad, I'm not trying to flame, but the Vizios that I have personally been in contact with just don't seem to be on par with other televisions of similar pricing.

Just my opinion, but either which you choose, your games and movies are going to look sweet. Good luck.

LED picture is great, looks way better than LCD. Having said that LCD still looks damn good. If I were you I'd base my decision on response time. This is going to be even more important than the picture when it comes to gaming. Who cares how pretty the picture is if you've got so much lag you can't play a game.

Literal response to subject:

1.) Push on TV A until it moves far enough from TV B that you are able to move out from between them.

2.) If you do not have enough leverage to move TV A or B, make sounds like a yak until someone wanders by and is able to free you themselves or can get help to assist in freeing you.

3.) If you are unable to make yak noises or yak noises fail to attract attention due to a high volume of yak noises in your area, make peace with yourself and whatever diety you believe in.

Just go there and look for yourself before buying, even if your getting it online. I was close to buying one on amazon, but I just had to see what it looks like at bestbuy. I wasn't impressed with it, then later got a different model. Samsung has always been good. I have 3 of them at home.

yeah but LEDs have a much, much higher contrast ratio than regular LCDs. LEDs contrast ratios are closer to plasmas

I trust Samsung more than Vizio. Both are great TVs, but I would definitely take a Samsung over a Vizio.

I hear that... LED Tvs can be amazing. My friend has a 52inch Samsung LED and its in a different league than my older 46inch Samsung LCD which was top of the line when I got it. That said, I still think the Samsung LCD is the way to go out of these two TVs.
