* 2 - 3 disc trays for more games to play without getting up

* better online gameplay where lagging is just a myth

* free online subscription (hehehe never gets old)

add some more thoughts...

While I think it would be a little too hard to implement for its own good, I don't think thats such a bad idea. Something that definitely needs to be there is full BC for all 360 and Original Xbox games as well as the ability to transfer all saves and profiles from your 360 to your new console, as well as Arcade games. Free online would be nice but it isn't necessary.

Not that this would HAVE to be added only through the creation of another generation of Xbox (an update would do it) but perhaps some kind of search feature in Live which would allow you to get some new friends. Perhaps other plays would show up ranked by how many game similarities you share in common. Like you'd rank high with someone who owns/plays most of the games you do and spends about the same amount of time playing the same games multi-player that you do. This would be much easier than snagging a gamertag in a multi-player session you are currently playing. I know, I know..sounds like a dating service. Almost same kind of idea except for finding the best possible matches. If I add a friend from Gamespot or because we get matched together randomly in a multi-player session of a game I'm renting, there's little assurance that they'd want to play other games multi-player that I play. And I still have next to no friends (of course I've only been on Live for two weeks or so) despite my forum signature begging for adds haha

I completely agree. Really guys, people are claim that gamers are fat and lazy, give them another reason to say all you do is sit on the couch all day long. Is it really that bad to get up for 5 seconds to change the disk?

I guarantee if this happened it would be like that episode of southpark when cartman was playing WOW and wouldnt even move to eat or go to the bathroom.

You sound like an overexcited 11 year old with little to no knowledge. If your that lazy and need more disc trays your pathetic. Also the console has nothing to do with the lag, its the internet connection.

As for paying online its worth it for all the great support/dl's MS gives us.

..... First off no, lazy maybe, but good idea seeing as you probably didn't complain when your stereo first did this. Lag meh, but paying for online is definately not worth a damn. Support? eh if you get rrod they have procedure, dl's? HAHAHAH you mean charging for the service AND AGAIN for dl's? That's bs, even ps3, free @home but pay for d/ls is even a better idea, ms rips people off blind and you know so don't be a suck up

I'd expect a harddrive as standard - don't want to continue the mistake that is the Core/Arcade model - and the harddrive would be large to accomodate downloading entire games. MS are trying to push downloaded software on PCs, and trialing it on consoles with XBLA, and xbox originals. It is only a matter of time before we start seeing full games being released as downloads for consoles, and possibly even as an opportunity for existing Elite owners with sufficient space. It would also work for MS as a way to prevent piracy in the same way Steam works for PCs - if you control the only way to get the game onto your console, and the authorisation to play it, you have much tighter ways to prevent piracy than with discs. Far from multiple disc trays :D I think a disk tray will be left in the console simply so it can act as an entertainment hub, rather than a requirement for playing games.
